Well that and the only good arc of Super is about to start. Plus we've had MHA/ Megalo/ Mob/ for a few months now. That's probably started winning back a few people. Consistently airing shows that are good will probably have a positive effect on ratings over the long haul. Even the not so good shows like Clover/Ship/Boruto have decent fan bases now.

I think you all failed to take into consideration one thing....

They're already 2 episodes behind, so the simul part of simuldub is out the window. The article says they'll stream a dub during winter, nothing about it being simuldub. If they started today it would take 3 months for that dub to finish airing. And then however long it takes Demarco to get the show after that. Mob ends its run on Toonami in like 3 episodes. The gap between S1 and S2 could be pretty huge. I think Fairytail has a chance when HxH ends its run.
