Read about 50 of them, but I was younger and more interested in the material Oblivion- started some books, but stopped pretty quickly, the material no longer resonated Skyrim- skimmed, didn't read a whole book unless it was less than 5 pages long and I was drunk

Yeah I guess it would suck to play it untranslated since I'd have no clue how to solve things. That'd be impressive if a non-Japanese speaker could beat an untranslated RPG during his first time playing it just by looking around at everything and trying to get into the developers' heads.

I just think it was a really dumb final battle. I prepped for it like I was playing a Final Fantasy, Breath of Fire, or Dragon Warrior/Quest game and I was leveling up like crazy because I thought I was gonna have to really go crazy on the final boss. Oh well, it was still a fun game. If I had a Super Nintendo as a kid, I would have been a huge fan of it.
