May I also point out how fuckin amazing it is that the greatest Superhero Of All Time thinks Izuku is "so cool"?? He's now a fan of him, just like the other way around. That's what made me sold on this show.

I wound up being able to watch part of the block. The hotel has CN, and I had a room to myself to my surprise, but I decided not to turn my computer on and just relax. I caught Dragonball Z Kai (uneventful with some great nods to the original Dragonball), MHA Ep 5 (which I already saw like 2 years ago), and FLCL Progressive Ep 2 (amazing). I will catch Super later, though by the looks of it I guess Zamazu became full-on Eldritch Abomination Evil, and I suspect I didnt miss much else. I will also try to catch Jojo and HxH today.

It was a joke. Actually the writers are wholly Japanese, and part of the IG committee- DeMarco has nothing to do with the writing other than laying down some basic, broad guidelines/requests, like including Haruko in both sequels despite the rest of the cast being new.

I'm sure it actually played. We have tons of people on twitter witness to it.

Holy shit. Can't say we didn't see this fight coming but BOY is it exciting, and it's not even over yet (I think)! Shiguraki also has a clear arc of becoming a villain much in the same way Deku is becoming a hero, though of course he doesn't get focus. When Deku shared his plan with his friends, I had initially thought the events illustrating it were all in his head! I didn't think they were actually pulling it off IRL! They hammered in the hopelessness of their rescue mission for several episodes by now. It felt a bit weird that they would all of a sudden present a plan that actually got pulled off by the students.

*reads* OH COME ON THAT GUY AGAIN??! Didn't he quit directing the first 4 episodes of Lucky Star because they weren't good (and resulted in the first 4 episodes feeling tonally different than the rest of the show), and also wholly created FRACTALE and said that he'd quit anime if it didn't do well (it didn't)!? Really he needs to change his attitude! This is nowhere near the first bit of blaming the fandom or the studio we worked with that's reached the headlines!
