    Honestly, what I'm surprised by is that the Toonami crew never thought of a more creative replacement than "UHHH--UHH---J-J-JUSTRERUNTHEPASTEPISODETH!!!!" They could've reaired past TIEs. They could've picked up an old action show from before Toonami was canceled. They could've got another movie on the cheap like they did with Mind Game.

    The pandemic has made us forget that when Funimation started, they were recording literally out of someone's closet, in their house. It was founded on social isolation!

    But now the speed of dubbing is ironically that of like 10 years ago, before broadcast dubs and simuldubs. The reason we're antsy is because Funimation spoiled us.

    Oh they shall certainly TRY to dub it. I'm just saying this has upended a bunch of everyone's schedules, and they can't dub everything they wanna dub these days. If they do, Toonami should wait for at least half of the season to be dubbed before even thinking of picking it up, or else we'll be stuck with another "MHA episodes rerun for the third time" case.

    Also left Funinmation a break from having to record a whole translated song from someone's house.

    Soon doesn't necessarily mean cons won't come back. Even in 5 or 10 years. Before this we had a con literally every week somewhere in the country! Even during times of economic struggles.

    Either one. Even now they're skipping the dub of some of their planned seasonal acquisitions.
