that's a good dentist. i hate getting anesthesia for the same reason. a small amount of it and i'm usually ok but anything more and it makes me dizzy and honestly makes me feel like i'm going to throw up everything i have to get it for like the whole day. if i HAVE to do it then i'll do it but i've learned to clear my calendar for the next one or two days.
