  1. retail always offers shit jobs anyway from what i've seen. the only stores i've ever seen where people look genuinely happy are either Costco (because they pay bank) or Publix
  2. i think there was only one retail job i ever had where they skipped the videos. that might have been my second cashiering job where i was like "wtf do some of the buttons on this do"
  3. your comment reminded me of the catchy AF training video i saw on a spoony video like a decade ago
  4. JUST A FOOL WHO BELIEVES
  5. i don't remember most recent but i can say back in my apartment days during weeks that i was really lazy i would just make penne, dump alfredo on it and reheat it in the microwave every day for that week. i still do that occasionally but i upgraded it by adding some chicken and garlic bread so it's not as depressing
  6. i had to walk outside, otherwise i was going to explode in a ball of panic
  7. My boss introduced me to the superboss as "the future of the company". Holyfuckletsjustsettheexpectationssuperhigh

  12. obviously by looks you can tell i don't. i've mentored people who have no experience but not people who are already senior/lead levels. i don't think i can tell these people anything they don't already know
  13. these people have 25+ years of field experience but what they do is sort of different. i don't think my level of expertise is going to compare.
  14. me too
  15. no, it was assumed going into the job that i did know it because i do. but not even close to well enough to teach it
  16. i'm on probation for the next TEN MONTHS. so gird your loins
  17. i was trying my best not to panic while i was talking to him and some of the other people on the team, but when i got in my car holy crap i fell apart.
  18. proprietary information
  19. no, the thing i was hired to do. i know it, but not nearly enough to teach it
  20. this is different. i can't really explain how this is different but this was during an expectation setting meeting where they're looking for me to TEACH this thing. this wasn't explained during any meeting we've had.
