If it was just gonna be some knockoff Sandler mess. The film’s introduction was clever enough to riff The Apalachin Meeting. Plenty of other scenes like that were complete eye openers because Hollywood usually isn’t that smart with use of parody. Sopranos, Goodfellas, GTA; all are already dark comedies. So I always found it funny there was this blockbuster obsession to dumb down the material. Whoever directed this probably had to fight to the death just to not make this total PG-13 garbage. It’s hackish at some parts but competence is definitely there.

I went on 2 hours of sleep as I wanted to get up early and prank call the Sam Roberts show. Guy who forwards the calls said I had nothing to say... I asked what’s today’s topic! Mikhail Faustin was hilarious for his one breakout scene and that’s it. His whole purpose was to be an omen and look slightly less evil compared to Dimitri. He didn’t care about Niko and he ruined his own family so I was never too attached.
