    That was some dark shit. As @saito34 said, very Demon Slayer backstory and even darker with the outright torcher experimenting on the mom. Channeling a horror movie. Izumo's backstory here would have been just as fitting for Made in Abyss! Damn, easy big sympathy for Izumo. No wonder she's the way she is and she was already one of my favs before this. In fact, hell, she's more open than you could even ask for with her still relatively new teammates after that backstory she's lived through (one of which has now betrayed her, thanks Shima that's gonna really help once Rin and the group get here to try to save her...). Need them to wreck this shithole lol.
