    yes....it seems that's what "mimics" are in this series (if the image doesn't load they're standard enemies in DnD type RPG's which look like treasure chests but then attack you when you try to open them)

    Mashima is and was a good artist but in some of the earlier chapters of the manga you could tell he was kind of a beginner...I remember he drew Ellie's hand facing the wrong way on one page
