Nice pic, but yes, there already was one, but as interest in Pre-Flight among Unevenedgers seems to be pretty low it didn't get bumped every week and thus, through a negative feedback loop, was often forgotten.

The Toonami Ratings Thread 1.0 :You are on a new board
OwlChemist81 replied to StarPanda's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
I hadn't even thought of that. With Jack ending now on May 20th, perhaps it's destined to be its replacement starting June 3rd and Toonami WILL shrink down to 11:30-3:30 again this summer? If so, I wish they'd at least give it back 3:30, just to make it not both begin and end at the bottom of the hour. What other programming block anywhere on TV does that? Getting back to the most recent ratings, well, for what it's worth: RETENTION: 11:30 PM Rick & Morty 818,000 12:00 AM DBZ Kai: The Final Chapters 864,000 (105.62%) 12:25 AM Sand Whale & Me 826,000 (95.60%) 12:30 AM JoJo's Bizarre Adventure 679,000 (82.20%) 1:00 AM Tokyo Ghoul 601,000 (88.51%) 1:30 AM Hunter × Hunter 593,000 (98.67%) 2:00 AM Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn 548,000 (92.41%) 2:30 AM Naruto: Shippuden 583,000 (106.39%) 3:00 AM Ghost In The Shell HD 492,000 (84.39%) TOTAL VIEWERS AVERAGE - 621,952 ADULTS 18-49: 11:30 PM Rick & Morty 505,000 12:00 AM DBZ Kai: The Final Chapters 511,000 (101.19%) 12:25 AM Sand Whale & Me 520,000 (101.76%) 12:30 AM JoJo's Bizarre Adventure 416,000 (80.00%) 1:00 AM Tokyo Ghoul 368,000 (88.46%) 1:30 AM Hunter × Hunter 372,000 (101.09%) 2:00 AM Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn 352,000 (94.62%) 2:30 AM Naruto: Shippuden 359,000 (101.99%) 3:00 AM Ghost In The Shell HD 326,000 (90.81%) ADULTS 18-49 TOONAMI AVERAGE - 386,500 The long-runners were winners, while the shorter series were losers--go figure! Except of course Sand Whale and Me in 18-49, or so it seems. But that's not really true since SWAM really played at the beginning of JoJo's timeslot, so it most likely actually seems to have lost from DBZ Kai. Finally: CURRENT SHOW AVERAGES Total Viewers Dragon Ball Super (8 PM) - 896,833 (12 episodes) Samurai Jack - 1,401,333 (3 episodes) Dragon Ball Super (11:30 PM) - 1,189,917 (12 episodes) Sand Whale And Me - 912,333 (3 episodes) Dragon Ball Z Kai: Final Chapters - 1,049,077 (13 episodes) Jojo's Bizarre Adventure - 909,000 (23 episodes) Tokyo Ghoul - 740,000 (2 episodes) Hunter × Hunter - 842,578 (45 episodes) Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn - 732,462 (13 episodes) Naruto: Shippuden - 869,312 (152 episodes) Ghost In The Shell HD - 527,000 (9 episodes) Adults 18-49 Dragon Ball Super (8 PM, Estimate) - 427,417 (12 episodes) Samurai Jack - 898,667 (3 episodes) Dragon Ball Super (11:30 PM) - 717,000 (12 episodes) Sand Whale And Me - 585,000 (3 episodes) Dragon Ball Z Kai: Final Chapters - 630,615 (13 episodes) Jojo's Bizarre Adventure - 553,130 (23 episodes) Tokyo Ghoul - 469,000 (2 episodes) Hunter × Hunter - 499,600 (45 episodes) Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn - 452,538 (13 episodes) Naruto: Shippuden - 482,301 (135 episodes) Ghost In The Shell HD - 324,667 (9 episodes) Adults 18-34 (Estimated) Dragon Ball Super (8 PM) - 276,727 (11 episodes) Samurai Jack - 632,000 (3 episodes) Dragon Ball Z Kai: Final Chapters - 433,308 (13 episodes) Jojo's Bizarre Adventure - 375,000 (23 episodes) Tokyo Ghoul - 323,000 (2 episodes) Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn - 306,769 (13 episodes) Man, it seems like just as soon as Toonami really begins to hit its stride, it gets hit with yet another asinine programming decision! -
Attack on Titan Season 2 on Toonami April 22nd!
OwlChemist81 replied to Blatch's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
Tokyo Ghoul = 24. They've mentioned they'll be airing both seasons. Hopefully WIT will get bigger, produce a Season 3 someday, and make it 36-39 episodes to make up for this season only being 12 episodes! -
That is somewhat unfortunate but also rather accurate. Most people who watch Pre-Flight probably watch it live on the live stream. However, there HAVE been bright spots when they actually had a viewer counter on there, including almost 500 people watching the Kill la Kill marathon at one point last November, and a weekend Toonami streaming at about 700 viewers last July before the stream inexplicably went down. Also, the viewer counter didn't count app streaming. That might be a bit higher!

Well, that's interesting... http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/daily-ratings/saturday-cable-ratings-april-1-2017/ "Adult Swim surprised fans of “Rick & Morty” with the Season 3 premiere on Saturday. The first play of the show at 8 p.m. ET/PT landed among the Top 25 originals for the day with a 0.2 rating among adults 18-49 and 676,000 viewers — decent numbers considering there was no warning of the debut. The episode repeated until midnight, with improving ratings over the course of the evening as word spread. The best showing was at 11 p.m. (0.4, 949,000 viewers)." Well that confirms 2 things: 1. The strongest viewership was during the slot in which people expected the next episode of Samurai Jack to air, and 2. The whole night didn't even crack a million! Putrid like that butt in the coffee cup that Rick manifested on the bug guy... ...or like THIS nightmare scape of farting butthills! -
For its 19th Anniversary, Cowboy Bebop is playing on the Stream! Sure we'll only get to see Episodes 1-5 now through Wednesday night at 8, followed by 6-10 after Pre-Flight through Friday night at 8, but it's better than nothing! (Plus it's also the first time I'll be able to listen to it on my new Bluetooth Speaker! Hopefully since AOT S2 is coming 4/22, we get it the week after next, but they stream episodes 16-20 Monday-Wednesday night, and episodes 21-25 Wednesday night-Friday night! That would make perfect sense, but we all know [as] isn't really in the business of making sense. Case in point, they did well for Kill la Kill, but blew it for SAO 2. (Not to mention the asinine Rick & Morty stunt over the weekend...)

Yeah, I meant Martial Hearts. So 12-2:30, then 4 episodes of KSK?? Brutal! But I think Shippuden should come back in at 2:30, followed by whatever rerun they're playing at that time at 3 AM. Just for the record, DB Evolution is 85 minutes long, which means that it would probably only need 2 hours. Then the normal lineup would take back over at 2 AM, whatever the hell the 2 AM normal is at that time. G Gundam in HD would be badass! -

That's 6 episodes long, right? Starting right at midnight and ending at 3 AM, that would be perfect! Also, Final Four confirmed for 3/31 next year: https://www.yahoo.com/news/ncaa-mens-final-four-returns-san-antonio-2018-214400548.html -

Wow...just...wow. http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-saturday-cable-originals-network-finals-4-1-2017.html 4/1/2017 DBZ Kai: Final Chapters - #1 (+7) Adults 18-34 Rating - 0.54 Estimated 18-34 - 367,000 ( 42.48% ) Adults 18-49 Rating - 0.40 Estimated 18-49 - 513,000 ( 59.38% ) Total Viewers - 864,000 4/1/2017 JoJo's Bizarre Adventure - #2 (+7) Adults 18-34 Rating - 0.42 Estimated 18-34 - 285,000 ( 41.97% ) Adults 18-49 Rating - 0.32 Estimated 18-49 - 410,000 ( 60.38% ) Total Viewers - 679,000 4/1/2017 Tokyo Ghoul - #5 (+6) Adults 18-34 Rating - 0.35 Estimated 18-34 - 238,000 ( 39.60% ) Adults 18-49 Rating - 0.29 Estimated 18-49 - 372,000 ( 61.90% ) Total Viewers - 601,000 4/1/2017 Gundam Unicorn - #6 (+8) Adults 18-34 Rating - 0.35 Estimated 18-34 - 238,000 ( 43.43% ) Adults 18-49 Rating - 0.27 Estimated 18-49 - 346,000 ( 63.14% ) Total Viewers - 548,000 And just to see how it did... 4/1/2017 Rick & Morty (8 PM) - #17 (-2) Adults 18-34 Rating - 0.29 Estimated 18-34 - 197,000 ( 29.14% ) Adults 18-49 Rating - 0.24 Estimated 18-49 - 308,000 ( 45.56% ) Total Viewers - 676,000 I'm at a complete loss for words, except maybe... THE GOOD: First to give credit where credit is due: DBZ KFC WAS top-ranked original, and when is the last time JoJo has been #2? I'm not sure it's EVER happened! TOONAMI certainly won basic cable for the quiet night, but... THE BAD: This is all a case of wondering "what could have been" if they'd just stuck with the normal lineup after 10 or at least let DB Super fly at 8 PM, encoring that at 11:30. But then again, we don't know how well Rick & Morty's 7th and 8th airings did at 11 PM and 11:30 and we probably won't know until Programming Insider puts out the full night's ratings. THE UGLY: That 676K is super low for the 8 PM premiere of Rick & Morty. And that 0.24 18-49 is more akin to a 2015-2016 Kai rerun than a Super premiere. In fact, this has really proven the value of DB Super in that timeslot, as it has averaged 427K 18-49 over its first 12 episodes, while Rick & Morty got a mere 308K or so. But it's possible there might be something else at play. This may speak less to the lack of popularity of Rick & Morty compared to DB Super than it does to the insane popularity of the NCAA Men's Basketball Final Four. It's possible this whole stunt may have been more of a sacrificial lamb to the Final Four than anything, but would it have really killed them to just leave Family Guy alone or air it at 11 PM? Finally, I'll go out on a limb and say they'll pull a crazy stunt again next year, but at least the 3/31/18 lineup should be normal even if it goes up against the Final Four next year. But as soon as the clock rolls over to midnight 4/1/18 all bets are off. I'm thinking it will still be Toonami's turf but they'll air something they normally wouldn't air: Dragonball Evolution, complete with Toonami bumpers either of Tom complaining how bad it sucks, or maybe a mini-TIE throughout the movie in which Tom struggles to get his ship back from an intruder who has taken over programming controls. That would be hilarious and cool! This...this wasn't funny; it was stupid. But hopefully things will be back to normal next week. Hopefully Samurai Jack's audience didn't take a hit from this. The topical should help, especially if it airs during 8 PM Dragon Ball Super and of course the Family Guy hour right before. -
http://www.adultswim.com/videos/schedule/ Not stealth this time--scheduled! And it's happening all week, yes, even including Wednesday.

Attack on Titan Season 2 on Toonami April 22nd!

Wow, no clue why I didn't know that, but OK. I guess that means IBO is in the pedigree of those with a Season 2, and also unlikely to get a 3rd season! -

Attack on Titan Season 2 on Toonami April 22nd!
OwlChemist81 replied to Blatch's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
Don't forget that shows are often pre-empted this time of year in Japan for Golden Week, which is the week of April 29th. If that is the case with Attack on Titan, then the first episode will be 3 episodes behind Japan but the 2nd and beyond will only be TWO episodes behind Japan! Breaking for Memorial Day would only set it back to 3 episodes behind Japan for its last 7 episodes in June and July, also assuming the more likely lack of pre-emption on July 1. -
Attack on Titan Season 2 on Toonami April 22nd!
OwlChemist81 replied to Blatch's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
That would be totally awesome. That or HD G Gundam if we've gotta keep this a Gundam slot and IBO S2 isn't ready yet. Would they air IBO S2 at 2 AM? Maybe. After all since it seems AOT is getting 12:30, and SAO S1 aired at 2, it might not be a bad slot for a dub premiere. Plus Hunter x Hunter is stuck at 1:30 and even though the animation is 4 years old it IS a dub premiere! -

Attack on Titan Season 2 on Toonami April 22nd!
OwlChemist81 replied to Blatch's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
Wow, sounds more like a problem with Pony Canyon than the industry. Still, given how popular Attack on Titan is, it's kinda shocking that they wouldn't allocate more resources to producing more episodes. Well, 12 episodes it is then, and if it remains at 12:30 it will most likely be replaced by more JoJo when it ends in mid-July. It seems Toonami might not be interested in Gundam IBO Season 2 after all? Unless maybe Viz will take even longer to produce Stardust Crusaders and it will replace Tokyo Ghoul? -
Two questions I have about JoJo:
OwlChemist81 replied to OwlChemist81's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
Yeah, and 12:30 IS pretty watchable! Heck, it's the same timeslot Dimension W, 10 episodes of Gundam IBO, and 2 episodes of One Punch Man got last year! I WOULD have preferred it air earlier since its predecessor did, but whatcha gonna do? Samurai Jack and DBZ are a LOT more popular. Or maybe they just got burned so bad by 11:30 reruns of Attack on Titan they're not gonna try THAT again--and instead we get 11:30 encores of Dragon Ball Super because they won't put anything but Jack before DBZ. -
Two questions I have about JoJo:
OwlChemist81 replied to OwlChemist81's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
There actually was a moment kinda like that in the ADV dub of Neon Genesis Evangelion; I'll just assume it was referencing that if it makes it into the final TV-ready dub. But I'll admit that IS kinda cringeworthy! -
Attack on Titan Season 2 on Toonami April 22nd!
OwlChemist81 replied to Blatch's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
Wow, this decision is interesting for 3 reasons: 1. Timeslot confirmed to be 12:30 AM!? Sounds like a horrible waste for any broadcast dub, but especially for a monster franchise like AOT! 2. Gundam Unicorn burns an episode while Tokyo Ghoul doesn't. That means when Unicorn ends, Ghoul will be on its 10th episode. I can't see Gundam IBO Season 2 airing at 2 AM, nor can I see Tokyo Ghoul getting buried with 2 episodes left in its first season. This raises 2 questions: A) What will air at 2 AM after Unicorn ends, and B) Does this mean that Gundam IBO S2's destiny is to replace AOT S2? It seems like it would be ready by July 22nd. 3. So they're thinking Stardust Crusaders won't even be ready by mid July? -
Attack on Titan Season 2 on Toonami April 22nd!
OwlChemist81 replied to Blatch's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
That was overkill to the Nth degree, and what's worse is that they made the swear word filter "*cooks*" from that point forward ALL THE WAY THROUGH 2015 until the Lithium boards finally died in January 2016. I finally got to see the teaser trailer, and I noticed something strange: ALL the footage was from the first episode of Season 1 of AOT! That does kinda make sense since I doubt they'd actually have any footage from Season 2, but I thought it would make a lot more sense to see it use footage from the LAST episode of Season 1. And as for the 1-cour thing, we really don't know. It could announce a 2nd cour in October at the end of the Spring season. I really hope it does! -

I believe that's exactly what they're doing. We won't know for 39 weeks AFTER Stardust finally appears, but I believe they'll take another break between Part 3 and Part 4. Part 5 hasn't even been animated yet in Japan. -

This episode will not air on April 5th at 10 PM, according to the schedule: http://www.adultswim.com/videos/schedule/ ALL THIS WEEK, Monday-Friday at 10 PM and repeating at 2:30 AM will be none other than Rickshank Redemption, the new episode of Rick & Morty! Hopefully, they'll re-air some of the interstitials too, like the Claymation saga and the video game Mr. Meeseeks battle. Those were cool. -
Two questions I have about JoJo:
OwlChemist81 replied to OwlChemist81's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
Getting back to the original purpose of the thread, my 2 questions have now been answered: 1. No, we're getting AOT S2 on 4/29 instead, and 2. Actually, most likely; since it's taking a break, it only makes sense for it to get a new promo when it returns!
