  1. EPISODE 4: "WITH A GUN IN MY HAND" The madcap capers continue!! 2 AM tomorrow, ONLY TOONAMI!!
  2. EPISODE #58: Signal × To × Retreat OP: "Departure" ED: (for the last time) "Hunting × For × Your × Dream" by Galneryus It really is the end of an era tonight on Toonami, as the story arc we've been following since mid-February comes to a close, and we lose Galneryus's spirited ending theme, which has been with us since last November! Don't miss this epic conclusion to the current story! 1:30 × AM × Tonight, × 7 × 15 × 17, × ONLY × TOONAMI!!!
  3. I don't think that helped. I'm on 5 out of the last 10 now!
  4. I think I will rewatch the last 10 episodes (since Uvogin died) in preparation for the arc finale Saturday night!
  5. Not if they beef up the Saturday pre-Toonami schedule by playing 2 hours of McFarlane shows beforehand, just sayin'. I believe that may actually have more bearing on whether individual shows are hits than the quality of the shows themselves, though there ARE night-winning exceptions like AOT S1, DBZ Kai, One-Punch Man, and Samurai Jack S5. As for Stardust Crusaders, we'll just have to wait and see. Other than the survival of the big bad from Part 1 and the main from Part 2, I hear it pretty much reboots the series.
  6. You're just butthurt because the UC Gundam show wasn't a huge hit and was pretty much panned among the Toonami podcasts. Which I really don't get, don't get me wrong. I thought its story was a bit confusing but I can't knock the amazing visuals and music. Hopefully Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin gets its chance on Toonami someday. Its ending might be a bit inconclusive by nature but as a remake of the original Mobile Suit Gundam it seems like a natural for Toonami!
  7. Well, Stardust Crusaders does have a few things going for it that either its predecessor or AOT S2 didn't: 1. It'll be a dub premiere, unlike its predecessor, which had a bare-bones home video release in late 2015 so it was out for almost 10 months before Toonami acquired it. 2. Its dub won't be streaming online anywhere but Adult Swim and that will be behind a log-in wall for at least a couple of weeks, unlike AOT S2 3. It contains the technique in JoJo that JoJo is most well known for--the STANDS! 4. For the most part it won't be led-into by Dragon Ball Super arcs that are simply rehashes of the movies, and DBZ Kai has finally gotten to the serious part--the Buu Saga!
  8. Yeah, I'll bet AOT S2 will get a rerun at 3 AM or 3:30 AM at some point.
  9. I was saying that as soon as Jack ended, AOT should have moved up to 11 PM and allowed a new show to debut instead at 12:30. Unfortunately that didn't happen, and now we've lost 11 PM, for the time being, at least. Now don't count out Jotaro from being this year's Saitama, even at 12:30. Stardust Crusaders WILL be a dub premiere (beyond Episode 4) and SHOULD be a huge hit!
  10. Maybe not soiling them, but I'd say in your case SOAKING them is within the realm of possibility! :fap:
  11. Wrong. Mikasa Ackerman is #3. Why they didn't have her listed from Attack on Titan is sure beyond me though!

Hope things continue to improve next week, with no boxing or UFC to worry about. Man, Toonami's seen better days...
  13. One day AFTER Toonami! That's probably too soon after though. Should be like a week or two.
  14. What, in 2012 when it came on NickToons!? Because when it was on Toonami in 2003-04 was a VERY different time. But I know it did bad enough in the ratings that it lost daytime Toonami to Miguzi. Don't see that fate befalling 8 PM Super anytime soon. http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-saturday-cable-originals-network-finals-7-8-2017.html "Adult Swim’s late-night line-up returned from holiday hiatus as follows: DRAGON BALL Z down 0.08 to 0.42 (the primetime episode was down 0.03 to 0.28), ATTACK ON TITAN down 0.08 to 0.34, TOKYO GHOUL down 0.09 to 0.29, LUPIN THE 3RD down 0.02 to 0.24, HUNTER X HUNTER down 0.03 to 0.27/653K, NARUTO down 0.02 to 0.23/568K, and GHOST IN THE SHELL down 0.05 to 0.20/521K." 12:00 AM DBZ Kai: The Final Chapters 938,000 12:30 AM Attack on Titan Season 2 795,000 (84.75%) 1:00 AM Tokyo Ghoul 685,000 (86.16%) 1:30 AM Hunter × Hunter 653,000 (95.33%) 2:00 AM Lupin The 3rd 595,000 (91.12%) 2:30 AM Naruto: Shippuden 568,000 (95.46%) 3:00 AM Ghost In The Shell HD 521,000 (91.73%) Well I guess that's pretty good. Nothing under 500K. But that 0.20 in 18-49 for GITS stinks to high heaven, especially since it WAS a great episode!
  15. I believe Dragon Ball Super's continued presence on the Top 5 most talked-about shows on Nielsen Social more than qualifies it as a "hit." However, it is unknown whether that has something to do with the fact that new subtitled simulcasts also come out on Saturdays.
  16. Hold the phone. If these shows aren't mainstream, then just what the hell IS mainstream in terms of adult-oriented animated action? It's hard to get more mainstream than DBZ and DB Super. Sure they're not airing Mob Psycho 100 or My Hero Academia, but there's no way you can call anything on Toonami with the exception of Lupin the 3rd not "mainstream" and be correct.
  17. I'm picking Bo to replace Kai. But I would LOVE for the 12 AM timeslot to get something that isn't super shonen. I've never actually seen Flip Flappers but I've heard good things about it and it's often been compared to KILL la KILL.
  18. Dragon Ball Super at 8 PM got beat by Tokyo Ghoul Root A. And while Lupin might have hit an unimpressive new high in total viewers, since percentages of demographics were down compared to 2 weeks ago, it pretty much tied its Episode 1 series lows. Can JoJo save us?? Toonami is gonna have to acquire a humdinger of a show if it wants to steal that #1 spot from LIVE PD. Could Jotaro Joestar be the man of destiny, the one who can STAND up to this police state-fueled reality TV travesty? Because it's clear the German-laced Kaiju mess that is Attack on Titan isn't cutting it. I daresay Season 3 won't get 12:30 back next year. It will instead follow Gundam IBO S2 at 1 AM while some NEW BLOOD gets 12:30 (plus JoJo Part 3 won't be over yet by then). But then again, since by that time we'll probably have Boruto at midnight, all bets are off. In case you just noticed, I actually just predicted the lineup this time next year: Spring/Summer 2018: 11 PM FLCL 2/FLCL 3 11:30 Dragon Ball Super 12 AM Boruto: Naruto Next Generations 12:30 JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 3: Stardust Crusaders 1 AM Attack On Titan Season 3 1:30 Hunter x Hunter 2 AM ???? (I seriously have no clue what might replace Lupin. Probably not more Gundam while IBO is still at 1 AM) 2:30 Shippuden 3 AM ???? (Who knows what they'll rerun after GITS or if we even get 2nd Gig HD directly following season 1...) Wild Cards: Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt (could take 12 AM instead), Mobile Suit Gundam: Twilight Axis (3-minute minisodes plus 8-minute finale; wouldn't need its own timeslot and finale can premiere on a holiday marathon day), Flip Flappers (C'mon, Toonami, pull that stick out of your ass and get something for the girls from Sentai already!)
  19. Right. That's partially why this is what I've decided to do instead, going forward. The stream has advanced. It will be episodes 16-20 from now until Friday night at 8. Interestingly enough, this is the first time a weekly Super marathon has changed on Wednesday night.

  21. Dat Radiohead reference!!
  22. This. It's mind-boggling to me how universally panned this show was across the major Toonami podcasts because I see it as a work of pure brilliance. The characters' actions certainly made sense when viewed against the larger backdrop of Gundam history as well as Unicorn when viewed as a stand-alone. And while at one point I likened the missing article as being somewhat of a "divine rule" passage, I now realize it wouldn't have that effect, but rather simply be the prioritized inclusion of a newfound minority (in this case, the Newtypes) in the inner workings of their own government. A seat at the table, as you said.
