  1. In case anyone cares, no advancement. Still GITS #26-#30. That makes the 9th week in a row of no Wednesday advancement. I'd say that's the new norm. If you watch on Monday, you've seen everything for the week. It is such a shame. When this first debuted in 2015, every Monday morning was like Christmas morning, because you KNEW (with a few glitchy exceptions) you were getting a full cour of a series for the next 2 days. Now? It's just the same 5 episodes over and over and over again all week! Useful for a busy weekday schedule, but terrible for watching a whole series. Weekends for the most part have retained their excitement. Sure, the stream is now 4 weeks behind, but at least you're still getting episodes later in normal size series than episodes 1-5, and it might be useful to rewatch them for stuff you missed before, especially if your recording glitched.
  2. Just watched the first 2 episodes of Juni Taisen/Zodiac War. I like it so far. It has good psychology and is about as bloody as Hellsing!
  3. Oh, ok. I see what you're saying. The numbers it gives for the adult demographics in thousands are: A 18-24: 30,890 A 25-34: 42,570 A 35-49: 60,730 If you add those up, you get 134,190, which means that 134.19 million viewers would be a 100 in ratings points, and a 1.0 would be 1.3419 million. I had been using 1.282 million for my estimates, but that might be low-balling it. Also, a trickle of new data: http://programminginsider.com/ratings/final-nationals/saturday-final-nationals-yankees-astros-alcs-game-seven-sets-new-fs1-viewer-record/ It turns out that DBS didn't lose that badly from Family Guy after all!! But that seems to be high. If you take the viewer numbers from October 14th and average them, you get 336,300. Then divide that number by the average of the decimals from October 14th (0.262) and you get 1,283,588. Doing the same with October 7th, you get 390,900/0.302 = 1,294,371. So, the actual number might be higher than 1282K, but not quite that high. This, assuming 1.00 = 1,290,000 viewers, is probably closer to the actual list: ADULTS 18-49 RETENTION 8:00 PM Dragon Ball Super (NPOT, Estimated) 310,000 8:30 PM Dragon Ball Super (NPOT, Estimated) 375,000 (120.97%) 10:30 PM Family Guy (NPOT, Estimated) 607,000 11:00 PM Dragon Ball Super 555,000 (91.43%) 11:30 PM DBZ Kai: The Final Chapters 516,000 (92.97%) 12:00 AM JJBA: Stardust Crusaders 452,000 (87.60%) 12:30 AM Gundam IBO S2 413,000 (91.37%) 1:00 AM Hunter × Hunter 400,000 (96.85%) 1:30 AM Lupin The 3rd 362,000 (90.50%) 2:00 AM Naruto: Shippuden 426,000 (117.68%) 2:30 AM Outlaw Star HD 271,000 (63.62%) 3:00 AM Cowboy Bebop HD 271,000 (100.00%) 3:30 AM Attack on Titan Season 2 246,000 (90.77%) TOONAMI ADULTS 18-49 AVERAGE - 391,200
  4. Wow, that is super complicated! I only do this as a hobby; I'm not enough of a pro to dive into all those numbers!
  5. ShowBuzzDaily updated, so more info: "Adult Swim’s line-up fared as follows: in primetime, DRAGON BALL down 0.15 to 0.24/735K and down 0.11 to 0.29; in late-night, DRAGON BALL down 0.03 to 0.43/940K and steady at 0.40, JOJO’S BIZARRE ADVENTURE up 0.04 to 0.35, MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM up 0.06 to 0.32, HUNTER X HUNTER up 0.06 to 0.31/623K, LUPIN THE 3RD up 0.07 to 0.28, NARUTO up 0.11 to 0.33/632K, OUTLAW STAR up 0.02 to 0.21/427K, COWBOY BEBOP up 0.04 to 0.21/427K, and GHOST IN THE SHELL at 0.19/385K." Yes, it seems Naruto Shippuden beat Gundam IBO and everything between in 18-49! 6. Walking Dead's special got beat by both DBZ Kai and JoJo in 18-49. That's not too shabby! Even though those timeslots used to pull millions in overall viewers, and now they're 600-800K, as long as they keep doing well in 18-49, Toonami's not in any danger.
  7. Well, it's another ho-hum week going into the marathon, but a couple of shows hit new highs! Here's how the cable originals went down: http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-saturday-cable-originals-network-finals-10-21-2017.html 10/21/2017 Dragon Ball Super (8:30) #20 (-8) Adults 18-34 Rating - 0.34 Estimated 18-34 - 231,000 ( 31.39% ) Adults 18-49 Rating - 0.29 Estimated 18-49 - 372,000 ( 50.54% ) Total Viewers - 736,000 10/21/2017 DBZ Kai: Final Chapters #12 (+4) Adults 18-34 Rating - 0.49 Estimated 18-34 - 333,000 ( 38.72% ) Adults 18-49 Rating - 0.40 Estimated 18-49 - 513,000 ( 59.65% ) Total Viewers - 860,000 10/21/2017 JJBA: Stardust Crusaders - #13 (+8) Adults 18-34 Rating - 0.42 Estimated 18-34 - 285,000 ( 40.95% ) Adults 18-49 Rating - 0.35 Estimated 18-49 - 449,000 ( 64.51% ) Total Viewers - 696,000 10/21/2017 Gundam IBO - #16 (+10) Adults 18-34 Rating - 0.40 Estimated 18-34 - 272,000 ( 41.98% ) Adults 18-49 Rating - 0.32 Estimated 18-49 - 410,000 ( 63.27% ) Total Viewers - 648,000 10/21/2017 Lupin the 3rd - #21 (+18) Adults 18-34 Rating - 0.37 Estimated 18-34 - 251,000 ( 46.40% ) Adults 18-49 Rating - 0.28 Estimated 18-49 - 359,000 ( 66.36% ) Total Viewers - 541,000 Yes, that's the first time a Gundam show has climbed over 600K and 400K 18-49 since Gundam Unicorn got relegated to 2 AM, and that's a new high for Lupin in 18-34 and 18-49! Pretty much business as usual for DBZ KFC and JoJo: Stardust Crusaders although potentially over 450K IS pretty good for JoJo. Remember, Rome was not re-built in a day, and as long as there's no major shakeups for a while outside of marathon events, I expect Toonami's ratings to keep climbing slowly but steadily. Meanwhile, prime time Dragon Ball Super plunged all the way from a 0.51 18-49 to a 0.29. Ouch! I guess that's what happens when [as] CN lead-in isn't as strong, as Lego Movie from 2014 was apparently much weaker than Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo! But it will be led-into by the 2015 Adventure Time movie this week, and that should provide a boost for the reruns. We'll find out more about the last normal night in October later on today!
  8. This is true, but only on the weekdays. On weekends from about 9 PM Friday through 8 AM Monday ET, the stream actually shows the entire Toonami block from 4 weeks prior. That is actually a useful feature for anyone who doesn't have Adult Swim on cable who would like to keep up with these shows. And with few exceptions due to glitches (such as when they mistakenly showed Gundam IBO episode 18 instead of Gundam Unicorn episode 18), it's exactly the same, only 4 weeks behind. The weekday stream started out useful, and actually played through an entire show in a week. Then in 2016 around April they scaled it back to 5 shows at a time, playing twice between each Pre-Flight episode. This has long since been mind-boggling to me, as it seems it would just make more sense to play 5 episodes, then Pre-Flight. But that's not currently how they do it. The whole thing is just one great big major head-scratcher, and it seems to me they would be better off just letting that old Toonami block play all week long.
  9. Took the words right out of my mouth! Well at least it's not Samurai Jack. Looks passably decent on a smartphone, but full-screen streaming on a laptop? FUGEDDABOUTIT!!! :painfap: And still no JoJo: Stardust Crusaders or Outlaw Star on weekdays.
  10. Yeah, but Futurama was super successful as a lead-in/lead-out to anime on Adult Swim. A LOT more successful than Family Guy is now. Besides, you're missing the point. Futurama may not be anime, but it is ANIMATION. Just the fact that Syfy is even trying regular animation for the first time in 6-1/2 years is pretty huge!
  11. I believe Toonami might not even be the only adult-oriented anime block on TV anymore soon. Futurama is going to Syfy on November 11th. Who knows what could come of that? Might even challenge DB Super's non-sports ratings dominance at 8:30 PM on Saturday nights! But I think we could be talking the return of Ani-Monday in 2018!
  12. No need for a source. Remember, this will be on the air from now until April or May next year. Chances are the 2017 movie premieres on some movie channel in THAT amount of time!
  13. Session #7: Heavy Metal Queen Wow, a lot of rock in this one!
  14. Maybe it will pick up in the 2nd half??
  15. You gotta admit, it's a lot easier to stay up for the whole thing now since it ends at 4 AM!
  16. Alright, I hope there's a lot of action to keep me up!!
  17. Wait, what the hell!? We're back to Canon!?!
  18. It's called trying to maintain a standard, I guess?
  19. Well, turns out no original music video this time. Just this Toonami compilation video!
  20. Yeah, they screwed up and didn't premiere it during Pre-Flight this week!
  21. Wow, I can't believe that actually worked!!
  22. Well damn, I didn't see that coming!!
  23. You think he'll find Ging in the 2nd half?
  24. Well, that was helpful! ...NOT!
