So then it's similar to Gurren Lagann?? Well then I hope it makes its appearance on the Better Cartoon Show, IF it ever gets a DUB. Some more interesting notes about Saturday: https://programminginsider.com/saturday-final-ratings-tiger-woods-boosts-tour-championship-on-nbc-to-its-best-third-round-coverage-in-15-years/ Home Movies (repeat) (ADSM, 8:00 PM, 30 min.) • 0.316 million viewers (#90) • 0.21 HH (#88) • 0.12 A18-49 (#80) • 0.13 A18-34 (#42) • 0.10 A25-54 (#98) Family Guy (repeat) (ADSM, 8:30 PM, 30 min.) • 0.546 million viewers (#60) • 0.35 HH (#60) • 0.22 A18-49 (#26) • 0.20 A18-34 (#16) • 0.19 A25-54 (#56) Family Guy (repeat) (ADSM, 9:00 PM, 30 min.) • 0.724 million viewers (#38) • 0.46 HH (#39) • 0.31 A18-49 (#10) • 0.31 A18-34 (#7) • 0.28 A25-54 (#25) Rick & Morty (repeat) (ADSM, 9:30 PM, 30 min.) • 0.690 million viewers (#43) • 0.44 HH (#43) • 0.32 A18-49 (#9) • 0.34 A18-34 (#5) • 0.27 A25-54 (#29) My Hero Academia (repeat) (ADSM, 10:00 PM, 30 min.) • 0.621 million viewers (#48) • 0.40 HH (#48) • 0.28 A18-49 (#17) • 0.33 A18-34 (#6) • 0.23 A25-54 (#38) Dragon Ball Super (ADSM, 10:30 PM, 30 min.) • 0.819 million viewers (#32) • 0.49 HH (#34) • 0.35 A18-49 (#7) • 0.41 A18-34 (#4) • 0.31 A25-54 (#21) Super won the night in all the key demos. Of course, as a consequence of moving to 11 PM, we won't get to know that anymore. It will probably be a battle between Kai and Super each week to see who wins the night, though Boruto might steal the show since it's on earlier.

Week 13 of Dragon Ball Super's weeknight run, the unlucky, terminal week, begins with a thud: https://programminginsider.com/monday-final-ratings-manifest-impresses-in-series-debut-first-ever-nbc-monday-telecast-to-grow-out-of-an-original-the-voice-telecast/ Dragon Ball Super (repeat) (ADSM, 8:00 PM, 30 min.) • 0.346 million viewers (#76) • 0.22 HH (#76) • 0.14 A18-49 (#61) • 0.16 A18-34 (#37) • 0.13 A25-54 (#70) Dragon Ball Super (repeat) (ADSM, 8:30 PM, 30 min.) • 0.399 million viewers (#69) • 0.24 HH (#75) • 0.17 A18-49 (#42) • 0.17 A18-34 (#33) • 0.15 A25-54 (#59) Mondays suck! But at least the demos weren't too bad. That 346K total viewers is a new low though.

Only sometime in deep, dark '19 after Gundam Thunderbolt airs!
-
I guess that's why it's being pushed to midnight? But hopefully it will start to grow its audience again after the move. I have a feeling all this setup is leading to something that will really blow fans away! But it's also a little hamstrung this season since it's like 5 weeks behind the subtitles. Compared to last season's 3-week delay, that might be an issue. However, ironically the best season we've seen ratings-wise was a full 10 months behind!
-
I'm not sure what you call FLCL Alternative, but it isn't shonen, so there's that. And we MIGHT get Megalobox out of this. That's arguably in the sports sub-genre, and it would be badass between Super and AOT.

Well well WELL!!! Lookie here! Posted BEFORE NOON my time! For Pop Team Epic, you're probably right. UNLESS it's the next season of Pop Team Epic, and they get a Titan-style dub premiere deal for that. Even so, AFTER JoJo this time. As for the rest of the block besides DB shows, we don't know that. Boruto might be huge, and pairing it with Naruto Shippuden seems to be the right move to me.

Depends on which stat you're talking about. In Adults 18-49, it did last week, and so did Attack on Titan. In Adults 18-34, both shows as well as FLCL Alternative last week beat it. But in total viewers, yeah, I believe this might be the first time Dragon Ball Super has beaten it. Speaking of Dragon Ball Super, its last Friday appearance for the foreseeable future didn't do so hot: Dragon Ball Super (repeat) (ADSM, 8:00 PM, 30 min.) • 0.378 million viewers (#81) • 0.25 HH (#80) • 0.12 A18-49 (#94) • 0.13 A18-34 (#56) • 0.12 A25-54 (#95) Dragon Ball Super (repeat) (ADSM, 8:30 PM, 30 min.) • 0.356 million viewers (#83) • 0.24 HH (#81) • 0.13 A18-49 (#83) • 0.14 A18-34 (#48) • 0.12 A25-54 (#95) No Top 50 18-34 for the Arale episode? Ouch. Well, at least the Baseball episode did hit the Top 50. Still, swing and a miss. So here's Week 12 as a whole, plus the averages for the first 12 weeks: Dragon Ball Super Recent Week's Weeknight Ratings Week 12 Viewers HH 18-49 18-34 25-54 9/17, 8PM 372,000 0.26 0.12 0.15 0.13 9/17, 8:30 435,000 0.29 0.16 0.20 0.15 9/18, 8PM 517,000 0.33 0.19 0.19 0.17 9/18, 8:30 554,000 0.34 0.23 0.21 0.21 9/19, 8PM 438,000 0.29 0.18 0.19 0.18 9/19, 8:30 492,000 0.36 0.21 0.24 0.20 9/20, 8PM 478,000 0.28 0.18 0.21 0.15 9/20, 8:30 468,000 0.27 0.18 0.22 0.17 9/21, 8PM 378,000 0.25 0.12 0.13 0.12 9/21, 8:30 356,000 0.24 0.13 0.14 0.12 Weeknight Ratings Rank (Across ALL Primetime Cable) Week 12 Viewers HH 18-49 18-34 25-54 9/17, 8PM #82 #82 #87 #50 #88 9/17, 8:30 #77 #75 #62 #32 #77 9/18, 8PM #67 #68 #48 #28 #71 9/18, 8:30 #66 #66 #33 #21 #58 9/19, 8PM #78 #78 #54 #26 #63 9/19, 8:30 #73 #68 #38 #15 #59 9/20, 8PM #75 #79 #46 #13 #78 9/20, 8:30 #77 #80 #46 #9 #68 9/21, 8PM #81 #80 #94 #56 #95 9/21, 8:30 #83 #81 #83 #48 #95 So to sum up last week: middle of the week, GOOD; Monday and Friday, not so hot. But Tuesday-Thursday featured the end of Future Trunks/Goku Black/Zamasu, so that's probably why. Friday was just silly filler that turned off casual fans who don't like baseball or don't have a clue who Arale is. And as so, Friday DID bring down Week 12 as a whole, but by how much? Let's find out... Dragon Ball Super M-F Weekly Avgs Wk P2+ HH 18-49 18-34 25-54 #1 453,800 0.283 0.150 0.173 0.143 #2 456,000 0.288 0.174 0.216 0.148 #3 438,800 0.264 0.152 0.184 0.132 #4 421,200 0.258 0.150 0.186 0.134 #5 415,800 0.272 0.158 0.178 0.146 #6 454,200 0.288 0.164 0.180 0.158 #7 441,600 0.282 0.166 0.190 0.148 #8 400,200 0.262 0.150 0.158 0.134 #9 426,000 0.270 0.158 0.178 0.150 #10 441,200 0.280 0.158 0.184 0.156 #11 420,400 0.276 0.169 0.187 0.156 #12 448,800 0.291 0.170 0.188 0.160 Week 12 still did very good, coming in 4th place overall in total viewers, a fairly distant 2nd in 18-49, even more so in 18-34, and tops in households and 25-54! This week will probably serve as a benchmark for DBS's return to 8 PM beyond this week if they ever decide to try it again. I'm saving the big statistical wrap-up, including daily highs and lows, for next week.

And now, the last report of the [as] lead-in era! Dragon Ball Super rises to a level not seen for a while, at least in total viewers, but then Attack on Titan, ehhh... And of course, it was just downhill from there as usual. Though JoJo soundly beat Pop Team Epic in 18-49, which is nice to see. Good riddance to that weirdness, I guess? Though I wouldn't be surprised to see it end up on the back-end at 3:30 AM as a lead-in to repeats of the latest season of Robot Chicken at 4 AM. That would seem to be a decent way to use it. Next week, it looks like in this report, we'll see: BORUTO (10:30) DRAGON BALL SUPER (11 PM) FLCL: ALTERNATIVE (11:30) ATTACK ON TITAN (12 AM) JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE (12:30) So, basically the same timeslots as this week, just with different shows. Of course, we SHOULD see My Hero Academia, Naruto Shippuden, Black Clover, and Hunter x Hunter as well, but clueless [as] will probably just go on listing them as reruns.

Wait, you're a mod--can you not move your own post?!? Just so this belongs here, an example of a socially reciprocal relationship on Toonami?? Can't think of any--maybe Eren and Mikasa??
-
Well damn, I guess no one showed up tonight. Well, tonight, it was the return of Hit, as someone has mysteriously put a "hit" out on Goku… And then next, in which they revealed WHO it was (and I couldn't even believe it...) Now, kicking off tomorrow night's power hour, the 3rd to last for the foreseeable future, is... So until tomorrow...BANG!

stream 2018 Weekly Streaming Archives
OwlChemist81 replied to OwlChemist81's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
Well, bye bye Titans! Now we've got Shippuden. Don't know what episodes yet though. Hopefully they advance to the next 5 on Friday, but I'm not holding my breath... Edit: looks like at least through tomorrow night's pre-flight update, it's episodes 11-15 of the 5 Kage Arc. Probably won't advance tomorrow though. I would probably be OK with that, because this battle is fire! Another edit: well, this is bizarre--apparently, the stream plays episode 10, skips episode 11, and then plays episodes 12-15 (of the 5 Kage Arc). So, that means you end up getting the set-up for Killer Bee vs. Kisame, but NOT the meat of the fight! However, you DO get all of the showdown between Sasuke and Danzo! -
naruto Naruto Shippuden Episode 219 Discussion
OwlChemist81 replied to StarPanda's topic in Episode Discussion Archive
This airs first next week. You don't get spoiled until afterward! You could always just watch something else if you don't want to be spoiled by Toonami. Might I suggest 30 minutes of College Football??? -
10 Years Ago, Toonami was cancelled on CN...
OwlChemist81 replied to 3ngag3's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
I had mostly moved on to Adult Swim and paid Toonami little mind, though I DID occasionally watch it during the era from 2004-08 where it aired from 7-11 on Saturday nights! -
