I could have sworn there WAS one at the end of Episode 4 on Saturday night, but I'll have to rewatch and check probably tonight!

East and west, maybe? Yeah, I was semi-disappointed to find out that Shippuden just keeps going, restarting from 320 (last episode of Season 14), but if any season of Shippuden deserves a 3-peat, it's definitely Season 15. That season is 🔥!

If MHA's last few episodes of Season 5 can somehow get 11:30 when Dragon Ball Super ends (and 3:30 goes back to Boondocks or Gemusetto or whatever), I do believe that would benefit all 3 shows, especially if Yashahime gets to take its place at 12:30 and a new show premieres at 1 AM.

I'll admit I was just a little underwhelmed at Episode 4, but 3 was FIRE!!! Hopefully 5 can recapture the magic of the season premiere and the action of the follow-up and even beat 4 as the current ratings leader! Though with College Football beginning in earnest this weekend, that might be a tall order. Perhaps that makes Toonami's recent female flair through shows like Fena and Yashahime plus random episodes of MHA timely?

It catches up to the Toonami airing in a week, so that's most likely a no. If not, maybe it's time for a different show at 5 AM? I personally would LOVE to see Attack on Titan finally get a weekday strip, and Demon Slayer would be another good choice if Season 2 is coming to Toonami before the end of the season. A longshot, though doable, would be JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 5: Golden Wind. It would probably have to expand to 5 days a week to get all 39 episodes in one last time before Toonami loses the rights in late October though. Would be a great way for [as] to give one last middle finger to Netflix about JoJo, though!

And yeah, Shippo story deja vu for sure. At least the overarching plot, though still nebulous, was clearly advanced.

Finally catching up on this episode, and now I know what harissa is! They serve it at the Zoe's Kitchen within fairly easy walking distance of where I work! No review for this season so far until next week!

An interesting but probably pointless comparison: both the Rachel Maddow show and Yashahime got 0.15 in 18-49 on Friday at 9 PM and Saturday at 1 AM, respectively. Rather impressive when a rather niche anime show manages to tie a progressive news juggernaut! Also, Rachel was #25. Yashahime was #22!

Real talk: Dimension W was actually my favorite new show on the lineup after Parasyte ended, with Samurai Champloo my second favorite at the time in April-May 2016. Of course it would eventually be replaced with Gundam IBO, which was light-years better and still has a few episodes hanging around on my DVR (of Season 2) to this day! I wonder if Gundam will ever get back on Toonami, or if the franchise has gone streaming-only like JoJo? It seems like Toonami's future is in co-productions like FENA, which is what makes me believe at least SOME of these shows mentioned in the article in the OP will be Toonami-bound.

Wow, you're right! I hate that I crashed when this episode was on last night and couldn't discuss, but I did catch it on the West Coast feed. I missed some of these subtleties again the 2nd time, but that has to be Eren's "hidden agenda". He knew he was under attack from these insane Jaegerists who believed in his abilities but not his desires, so he sought to put on an act and move his friends out of harm's way. Even if that's all he was up to, Jean was absolutely right!
