GaiusIuliusCaesar
But after tilling about 700 pounds of soil 6 bags of cow manure, and 1 bag of peat moss, I think I earned it.. Garden should come in good this year, weather permitting. also harvested some dandelion flowers for wine making purposes. And I'm about to plant a grape vine, it just needs to soak for about 30 more minutes. It was a yuengling, ice cold. Quite refreshing after working up such a sweat. mthor
pfft, I'll have a beer at 10:30 AM if that's when I happen to get the lawn mowed.
NaBarney
I love yuengling but have been boycotting it since the Yuengling family went full Trump with the endorsements and donations. It's been hard since most other cheap beer is marginally worse.
GaiusIuliusCaesar
did you sit outside and drink it or did u go inside? I had it inside, I have a table for outside but I haven't assembled it yet.

That early and I'd probably have a coffee instead. Might put some things in the coffee, like Kahlua, Bailey's and or Frangelico, but it wouldn't be a beer. It was either that or a coke and they have about the same caloric content so, obviously I went with the one that would make me feel better in addition to tasting good. I actually went shopping before I worked in the yard and got some sam adams but it wasn't cold enough yet. I would boycott it if sam adam's stopped filling their variety packs with IPA's. As it stands its one of the few decent beers that I can afford.
NaBarney
Yeah I'm kinda clueless how to boycott effectively long term it since almost everything in the price tier is so much worse. I'll probably give up soon. Will still not order it at bars though, too much shame. Will resignedly stick with the mediocre runners-up like PBR and Old Style and Schlitz in those situations

Will resignedly stick with the mediocre runners-up like PBR and Old Style and Schlitz in those situations I don't go to bars that often, and when I do I usually order whisky, I'd have to drink multiple beers to get the same effect as one or two glasses of scotch. Had four of them Saturday at my cousins wedding open bar and all. That said when I do order a beer at a bar its usually either Guinness or blue moon, depending on the situation, if its hot out and I'm thirsty blue moon, if its cold or mild out and I just want a good beer, Guinness. Sometimes I experiment though, I have a few friends who are really into beer and I usually let them pick out the selection when we hang out. GaiusIuliusCaesar
Every time I'm at some Jeep event in Delaware I end up having a beer or drink by 11 well that's different, you're with people. I was alone. I just wanted something cold and refreshing and the beer did the trick. Plus you drink more than I do on an average day.
PhilosipherStoned
My neighbor mowed my front lawn the other day when he did his.. and when I thanked him he brought up the fact that I have crab grass..or it came up because I barely bought this house. Anyway more power to you if you want to beautify your yard.. sod it up and fertilize your trees, and decorate the shit, but I have more important projects to deal with and I've already poured alot of money into this property. Fools just gonna have to deal with his neighbors yard making him look bad atm
GaiusIuliusCaesar
its for my garden, I grow vegetables every year, last year they all died so I figured the soil needed remediation. I also planted a grape vine in the hope that in 3-5 years I might have something fresh to add to my wine.
PhilosipherStoned
sounds good. I'd like to grow a few things myself, but I might get in trouble. I am thinking about getting some venus fly traps/ and or pitcher plants to grow just for fun. I'd like to have them kind of hanging around my back patio.. They'd spruce it up and control insects, but I'm not sure how they'd do here in Texas. I live in the panhandle, and we've had decent rain and above average humidity this year. GaiusIuliusCaesar
Considering they just passed a law making it legal to grow up to 6 cannabis plants per adult and 12 per household in Massachusetts I plan on growing a few more things myself, just as soon as I acquire some seeds. I don't smoke, but I have a recipe for cannabis tincture that I've been meaning to try, might also infuse some olive oil. I don't really use butter very often. Where I live Venus flytraps don't grow easily, but you should have no problem growing them in Florida. They like humid conditions. My long term plans include installing a frog pond for the same reason, I figure a pool of water filled with hungry toads and dragon flies should reduce the mosquito population.
