Azalar Hex
My nephew got Persona 5 from his father for the hell of it. Since he's a little spoiling shit I decided to get the game, too. Thing is I don't own a PS3, so I remedied that. Bought a budget system. Used. 12GB. Thinking that 12GB is going to bite me in the ass. That's assuming the system that shows up doesn't have those queer foreign doodledanglies that don't fit into US outlets, ends up coming with an XBox controller instead of a PS3 one, or has German cockroaches inside of it. ( Supposed to be coming from Alabama. ) I'm wondering how hard it would be to upgrade the HD on the thing if that turns out to be an issue. With my luck the thing will show up having already burst into flames inside the package.
Ric
PS4s aren't expensive, I would've went for that.
Azalar Hex
Yeah, but I only had a budget of around $100. The best price I could get on a used PS4 was around $200.
André Toulon
I doubt it's greater than my reader's remorse.......I don't even think they bothered selling the 12G here because it's essentially a big paperweight. You coulda just bought a roku because the only thing you're gonna be able to do with 12 gigs is stream TV. I think my install of P5 was like 20Gigs on the PS4......If the PS3 version is half that you probably won't even be able to play it after the defaults install on the system.......It probably won't be half, but even if it's say a 5 gig install I hope you don't wanna do anything else besides play persona 5.....Which means you paid almost 200 bucks to play persona 5. Ric
Yeah P5 is 23 gigs on PS4 I believe. PS3 version might not have to install at all though.
Azalar Hex
Well those of you who are in to that sort of thing can take joy in me wasting my fucking money, then. What else is new. Maybe I can use it as something to shit in when the bathroom is occupied. What sucks is that I asked my nephew how big the install was and he said it was "only a couple of gigabytes", so the 12 GB would be OK since I don't plan on loading up on games. And since I trusted the little shit instead of googling it ... well. My fault for being a fucking idiot.
Azalar Hex
thats only a $100 difference you dont have anything other systems/games not worth giving up? Bills and this stupid bedbug resurge BS. Plus I have to keep part of my monthly income for food and any random expenses. I only had about $100 to play around with. Could have waited until next month and passed on a few trips into town. But I like funneling my disposable income into the furnace.
Houdini Splicer
There are videos on youtube that show you how to swap the old hard drive out for a bigger one. It shouldn't be difficult to do.

Yeah, I just read up on that. Good to know it takes pretty standard sized HDs. So I'm not totally SoL. Just going to have to wait a bit and either buy an HD which shouldn't be expensive at all, or pop the 200 GB out of my old computer after bleaching the hell out of the contents. Houdini Splicer
It was a couple months ago, but I watched a video on how to swap hard drives, and I found it was really easy. You should have no problem at all. One nice thing is that you don't have a lot of data to transfer over to the new drive from the old one. That will cut a chunk of time, because PS3's aren't exactly fast. The last system back-up I did took over ten hours to complete. (I have a lot of crap on mine.) Sieg67
Are you telling me I can get 100 bucks out of my PS3? I'd be tempted to sell mine if I wasn't using it as a Blu ray player for the living room. But I can always sell the 360. That thing hasn't been turned on in ages. Azalar Hex
Depends on the condition and if you can find somebody desperate enough to buy it. I saw some PS2s going for $50. I could have a pizza party.
