Rogue_Alphonse Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Its one thing if they're close together and easily manageable, but these hiccups that are spaced 30s to 1min apart and will not go away... torture. War crimes. 4 Quote
naraku360 Posted March 21 Posted March 21 I find screaming as long as can be sustained to be the most reliable way of getting rid of them. I typically take the type of inhale used for intensive strength workouts, then find something to bite like a blanket or pillow to muffle it, then scream as hard as I can. My hiccups intervals are literally always like 30 seconds or less, and will eventually piss me off. If I get them 1 time, I'm 100% guaranteed to get them every couple hours for the rest of the day. This happened at a shitty retail job once and out of an 8 hour shift, I think I had 2 hours without hiccups every 5-30 seconds. So, that's how I discovered the screaming method..... Quote
Insipid Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Bend over, try to put as much pressure on your sternum (the middle of your chest) as possible, and hold your breath for as long as you can. This usually does the trick. Quote
