Sounds great, but the real problem's gonna be whether or not the cost to produce it can be made competitive enough to scale its use to the point where it can replace traditional plastic. Doubt the big plastic companies unfortunately are gonna accept switching over to any alternative that easily unless it makes sense for their bottom-line. They knew for decades how little of the plastic being made got recycled but promoted recycling it with a PR campaign for decades to deceive people into thinking it didn't pose any problem for the environment.

I feel like if there was any fairness in this world the powers that be would force the companies to make the changes BECAUSE they lied. 
 

corporations go nuts w PR campaigns. Like the don’t litter campaigns. Companies are the biggest polluters. The bag of chips some fuck stick threw on the ground is like spitting in the ocean compared to what they do.
