Jman Posted July 9, 2024 Posted July 9, 2024 Bad enough having it all explained by Adam Conover, but people shot holes in this pretty fast - Quote
Toonamiguy321 Posted July 9, 2024 Posted July 9, 2024 Is it actually dead, or is this another “abloobloo it sucks now and will surely die soon because of this!” type of post? Because it really does need put out of its misery but people get my hopes up and it’s still there. 1 Quote
Sketch Posted July 9, 2024 Posted July 9, 2024 The studio has been fused into Warner Bros. Animation and the CN Studios brand is little more than window dressing to identify some shows that started on CN. Essentially CNS is just like Hanna Barbera under Warner control. A library of old IPs to occasionally trot out for nostalgia or if someone has a "new spin" on them that the company approves of. The culture is gone and a sizable chunk of the jobs are gone and the people with them. The channel? It's a walking corpse being strung along by Adult Swim. With no vision and little purpose. So it might as well be dead but it's still on the air and probably will stay on the air for years to come. 3 1 Quote
Mr. Idea Box Posted July 9, 2024 Posted July 9, 2024 (edited) Honestly, I'm surprised it took Canada as long as they did to rename Teletoon into Cartoon Network, given the USA channel is in shambles at best. Edited July 9, 2024 by Mr. Idea Box 1 Quote
[classic swim] Posted July 10, 2024 Posted July 10, 2024 The video’s framed to care about thousands out of work and then it just asks everyone to tweet about dead Cartoon Network shows. Quote

Yeah that is a mixed message if ever there was one and the hashtag has people thinking CN went off the air. 1 1 Quote
[classic swim] Posted July 10, 2024 Posted July 10, 2024 They get no one will do anything of substance, so they weaponize online nostalgia bait that would happen regardless. The # is so they’ll have even more pieces dunking on Cartoon Network for being useless. Higher ups don’t care about CN’s condition or cartoon hashtags so this is just smug bullshit saying nothing. 1 1 Quote
