Welcome to the final season of college football where Oregon/Rutgers isn't a conference game! :) :|

Today we've got:

  • ND/Navy in Ireland because sure
  • SJSU/USC to begin the likely PAC-12 retirement tour
  • "Oh yeah, Jacksonville State is in CUSA now"
  • and other games that can be described as SpongeBob SquarePants - I Need It - YouTube

They moved the Arkansas game back from 3 PM to Noon in the interest of player and fan safety and also because this is one of the SEC games on ESPN+ instead of actual TV this week so really who gives a shit

Looks like they ripped off the old Houston Oilers unis, which kind of takes away from it.

Not ripped off; inspired by them.

The Pac-2 after Stanford, Cal, and SMU* are admitted to the ACC:

Man Loses Last Bit Of Hope | Know Your Meme

*SMU was one of the teams the Pac-12 was trying to save themselves with earlier

FTFY

Not sure what's going on with SMU, Big XII and Big 10 shot them down when they asked to join and not be paid for 7 years

Wonder if it's the death penalty blemish?

In other news, the remaining teams in the Pac-2 are now financially set if they inherit every other schools' earnings

I'm honestly impressed that Colorado used the Internet shitposting about them all off-season as actual fuel with which to beat TCU.

Really? Deion came in with a lot of noise, and then brought like half of the roster from his old school with him and his kids.

LSU and Clemson have both pulled off the dreaded "Damn guys, you good?" type of losses.

I don't see Clemson staying relevant

Dabo is a good coach, but his absolute refusal to use the transfer portal is going to continue to hurt his program

North Dakota State beat Central Arkansas, which I am only bringing up because the last time these two teams played, San Francisco was so impressed that they traded up to draft Trey Lance.

Did not expect the Alabama at Central Florida game to be that bad.

Same. I honestly thought that USF had a chance to pull the upset for a little while. But then I remembered that the Bulls were playing Alabama. lol

Both teams looked terrible, so it was hard to see either winning that game.

Fair, but ties haven't been a thing in college football since the mid-'90s. lol

oh god you guys Colorado turned back into a pumpkin

So many broken blenders sunglesses.

It never ceases to amaze me how people don't see that Deion has always been self hype....Not saying he's a bad coach, but Geion is here for Deion....If you get some Ws in his wake, cool....But he got his check and that's all he cares about....Hell, he has a song stating this very fact and this mfer can't sing.

Meanwhile my mood is "I don't like losing in the last seconds but its better than if they died horrendously so there's that" :|

If that's about Notre Dame, I agree. (And the Irish only had ten men on the field the last two plays of the game, too.)

I don't disagree. At the same time, it was a hell of a game. Reminded me of Super Bowl XLII in some ways, especially the score.

I do not doompost about games where somebody gets seriously injured, because it's a slippery slope between being that kind of fan and becoming the kind that goes "Hey, what if I set the starting QB's truck on fire?"

Spoiler

Which is an actual thing that has happened in the history of Arkansas Razorbacks football, btw.

USC humbles Deion's Buffs.

Not that I wanna see Deion fail, but I want to know how that bandwagon is doing.... especially from people who ONLY wanted him there to win.

He didn’t sound too humbled, and we all know it’s really about him.
