Do you not understand the concept of current events?

Probably not. I imagine the world just passes you by.

So, news of scientific discovery is not a current event?

Psst... Current events don't have to be political.

So, you're now unilaterally deciding what is and isn't a current event?

I don't know which is dumber:

The thread title claiming "a level" of intelligence was discovered in an animal widely considered pretty intelligent, or people somehow getting bodied by fucking Packard of all people because a month ago was being arbitrarily deemed not current.

It’s actually a fairly old study.   People have known for years that cats recognize the voices of their owners an respond to them differently than with people they are not familiar with.

That wasn't what the study was about.

It was about spacial recognition based on sound.

They used an owners voice as comparison to other sounds. It wasn't a way of determining that the cat can recognize the owner's voice.

I’m aware.  It was a newish study meant to reinforce previous studies.

The point is it didn’t tell us anything new.

I mean, it was information completely different from what you described so I'm not entirely convinced you read the article in favor of going straight to bad faith Packard dunking.
