Jman
Now is a good time to get Season 2 on Netflix or Toonami, since it was arguably the Netflix airings that boosted the show’s popularity enough for Magen Train to be a box office hit. OwlChemist81
Ironically, this might be the first time I actually get to see the mainstay of Season 2.
Jman
Well, looks like I called Demon Slayer S2 getting a push before the movie hits theaters - Unfortunately it’s not Toonami.
OwlChemist81
Well, it's not a Netflix original, so maybe Toonami can still get it in like 2025??
Sketch
So Crunchyroll is finally willing to sell the streaming rights to season 2 to Netflix. It won’t be an exclusive contract so the door is open for Toonami but it’s probably still too expensive. 1
PokeNirvash
It'll remain expensive for as long as Demarco says it is.

They have explicitly, by name, told fans they can’t air S2. Not a vague “CR won’t work with us” type statement where people have to infer, a straight up “we can’t get Demon Slayer S2 because of Sony”. That has no doubt pushed many fans to go watch it on their own. They would be blowing a massive wad of their yearly budget on a show they unintentionally sabotaged.
