It has 3 episodes left, plus probably a 2nd season, right?

It better be up for an Emmy next year!

Wasn't talking about this yet, I was agreeing with AnimationFan that Terror in Resonance was underrated.

But yeah, hopefully this gets a season 2! So far I'm enjoying it.

The character designer of that show (and Champloo) started directing with B The Beginning and is the director of this.

Yeah, it was a bit due to what the main characters do to expose the organization they are fighting.

Oh ok.

I thought I remember people saying it was glorifying terrorists or something.

Basically from what I remember one of the reveals about the main pair's terrorist acts was the reason some felt that way, which I probably shouldn't spoil if you're going to eventually watch it.

Art/Animation wise it's also pretty gorgeous.

Oh ok.  It was because of that stuff I heard that I really wasn't too enthused about watching it.  But if you say it's good, maybe I'll check it out.

Ah ok.

I think it's worth the watch. So as not to over-hype expectation I'd say it doesn't quite fully come together like his two big classics due to a few weaker parts, but if you get into its mood like I did it was still a really gripping thriller overall, filled with atmosphere and has some truly great, really strong moments sprinkled around and gorgeous art, animation, and color design.

Plus you get some new Yoko Kanno music and with Shinichiro Watanabe being the creator/director you of course still get some bursts of his slick stylings even within the show's "realistic" setting.
