Mortir
That explains a lot. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jake_Lloyd#Personal_life Quote In March 2015, police responded to an alleged assault by Lloyd on his mother Lisa Riley. In a statement to Indianapolis Metro Police Department, Riley alleged Lloyd arrived at her house and began verbally berating her. He then progressed to physically assaulting her, but she declined to press charges, revealing that Lloyd was diagnosed with schizophrenia and was not taking his medication at the time.[10] On June 17, 2015, Lloyd was arrested in South Carolina under the name Jake Broadbent for reckless driving, driving without a license, and resisting arrest; he failed to stop for a red light, which initiated a high-speed police chase.[11][12][13] At a hearing on June 22, his bail was set at $10,700.[14] On June 23, Lloyd's mother stated to TMZ that he has schizophrenia and that "the family plans to try and get him help again [...] once he's released from jail".[10] Lloyd was not released on bail. In April 2016, after being held for 10 months awaiting trial in Colleton County Detention Center, Lloyd was transferred from jail to a psychiatric facility due to his schizophrenia diagnosis.[15][16] In January 2020, his family issued a statement saying that he has moved closer to his family, and has officially been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia.[16][17]
RainyDayJizz#35
He said that role ruined his life, felt like he couldn't go anywhere. People like him are an interesting look at the potential impact of environment on mental health. Heard anecdotal stuff about people terrified of jail ending up schizophrenic after doing less than a year even. Hell, I'm pretty sure Heath Ledger and Brittany Murphy both died of fame. Chapinator_X
Him and Ahmed Best had targets painted on them after Star Wars fans blamed them for The Phantom Menace being poorly written. Ahmed was lucky to have been able to reach a point where he overcame thoughts of suicide from all the aggressive Jar Jar hatred and became better engrained within newer Star Wars properties. Unfortunately, Jake Lloyd hasn’t had the same kind of bounce back, primarily because of his mental health battle. It sucks too because imagine how fucked up anyone would end up if they were a child who was made out to be the reason why a film in a beloved movie series was bad. And because of this, their classmates mocked/bullied them regularly while older strangers wished the worst on them. Even after his reckless driving arrest, floods of “now this is podracing” jokes were commonplace. Edited January 1, 2021 by Jiro_Dreams
Skiles
What's worse is that there are definitely Star Wars fans out there that think he deserve it. And that is why I hate literally every fanbase. 😐
