I'm watching it and I am confused as hell as hell is this some kind of allegory or  metaphor  for furries or that's persecuted groups in general

All I know is apparently all the furry characters can go between human and furry at will, but the main girl just turns into a furry one day and can't change back?

yeah it's not quite normal shelter Watts but that's okay so far I guess

Not impressed. Way too focused on the convoluted storyline, which isn't well-written to begin with, with a rushed finale. You know they really wanted more than 13 episodes.

I really enjoyed it, although it got a little Trigger-happy at the end.  I'm not sure what's hard to understand about it though.  Seemed like a pretty straightforward fantasy to me.

They tried to tell too much within 13 episodes so it loses all meaning by the halfway point when the pharmaceutical company ends up being the only antagonist to bother being concerned about.
