Ultima Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 I heard he was and that he had fantasies of unrequited love, but back then it was the opposite of today and the ripped knights, who could crush oranges with their biceps and rode expensive horses, were getting the hot women whereas dudes like Shakespeare, who were artsy and girly and didn't have a horse or a horse license, were totally ignored by the hot maidens. Was he the first nice guy or can you think of an earlier one? And I think his plays were his way of releasing his frustration. Think about what happens at the end of Romeo and Juliet.
Vamped Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 I just came here to say that theater existed before William Shakespeare. Do with that what you will.

ZeroStralem Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 Shakespeare was picking up dudes and likely getting crushed by those biceps for his pleasure.
