My state's Department of Health supposedly has a hotline you can call for questions about coronavirus and I want to call them since the problem I'm having isn't one of the more common symptoms but is a possible one so I just want to see what they recommend. But I just keep getting a busy signal. Fun.

Why even pick up the phone to make this call?

When I was vomiting yesterday I couldn't help but wonder, but I knew in my rational mind that it was either food poisoning or norovirus.

No fever, no cough.

I'll be one of the lucky recipients, my workplace will prioritize profit over the health and safety of its employees for certain.

Same. The part about vomiting with no cough or fever at least, supposedly the administration is meeting today to discuss how to better protect staff and client health so we'll see what comes of that.

I just wanted to call the department of health because I was reading last night that in some rare cases people were having GI issues prior to developing respiratory symptoms with coronavirus. I was hoping to talk to someone other than Google about that but idk if I'll ever get through

I almost feel like it doesn't even matter because they don't have enough test kits to go around so your guess is probably as good as theirs. I feel like you could potentially talk to someone at the health department and they'll actually respond with "probably"

The fact that I'm not running a fever is the big comfort.

Do you have a fever?
