I had mine out and was eating ham and potatoes that night. They weren't easy to get out either and the asshat didn't put me under, just used that razor spoon and scooped them out of my head. I think I was fine with the recovery, just because it was so much less pressure than dealing with how impacted they were being in there.

Mine told me to take Tylenol. I argued with him and he gave me Vicodin. Had a different dentist for my root though and he gave me oxy right off the bat.

I wasn't in pain, and that's kind of my situation.. but after the bleeding had initially stopped yesterday when I got home I went to sleep without the gauze in my mouth and one of the extraction sites started bleeding about as much as when the tooth was first pulled. During My sleep I guess I screwed up the blood clot. I had a KFC Famous chicken bowl when I got home still.. That was as soft food as I was willing to go because I didn't even eat breakfast that morning, and I didn't know they were going to pull them during my national guard drill on site.. They had little dentist cubicals set up for the dental section of our medical exams ready to do everything from fillings to root canals..

It happens often in winter if you fall asleep with your mouth open, because your heater will dry out the air in the room. Yeah I was sure to keep my mouth wet and not breath through my mouth too much. I had a dry socket on a baby tooth when I was younger, and it is the worst feeling. Every time air goes over it you just feel the socket and teeth next to it throb. Aside from getting drunk to kill the pain, I'd say buy some lidocaine gel. You're tongue will get numb if any gets on it, but it'll help. Though yeah that sucks when you get teeth taken out that aren't really bothering you that bad. In my case they were badly impacted, so it was just a relief and loss of pressure in my skull.

I tried to get them out when I was active, but the dentist then said they'd be fine at the time, and the surgery wouldn't be worth it. PhilosipherStoned
They were pushing against my other teeth, and this dentist actually fixed the squeeze they caused after taking them out so... I think this dentist definitely knew wtf he was doing.
