I made a COPPA video

my guess is single shot for the duration, maybe with a couple edits to snip out some blunders or whatnot. a quick intro text overlay and maybe some kind of end screen stuff. i'll have to check it out later to see what we're dealing with here. the boy needs some production value.

I'm pretty sure I read in one of his messages here once that he doesn't know how to edit.

However that was from a year or so ago so he might have learned since then.  I doubt it though.

Ghosttrek:  You'd be better off sitting down in your videos.  The top of your head is cut off and that way you wouldn't sway.

It would look more professional.  Bigger font would help and less info on screen.  It was a wall of text that's hard to read.

Also you spelled first, living, because, and psychologically wrong.  Should have been get fined not get fine.

I know this is nitpicking but 11 year old child should have hyphens so it should be 11-year-old child.

Guardian, accidentally, and meant is also spelled wrong.  G-rated would look better than g rated.

You had to a's in Can a a review when it should have been one.  Should have been "Can a franchise start out instead of

Can a Franchise started out.

I'm not going to go over every spelling mistake (there's too many) but spellchecker is your friend.  You should use it.

that's fair. but really, if you're going to make videos you actually want people to watch, dedicate yourself a bit more. there's probably a free editing app he can put right on his phone, and i know there's free software for computers. all it costs is a little time to learn.

Pretty sure he said once that he's just doing it as a hobby.  I'd still say he needs spell check more than

anything else.  The editing app does sound like a good idea though.

even if it's just a hobby, the tips you offered and a ~very~ simple editor would go a long way towards improving the quality without sacrificing really anything except a small amount of time. and if viewers aren't distracted by spelling errors or poor framing, they're going to pay more attention to the content. i dunno, it's just a no-brainer to me. but i pay attention to shit like that when i'm watching user-generated content. if you don't pay that kind of attention, i guess it doesn't really matter all that much?

I definitely found the spelling errors distracting but my point is that since it's just a hobby for him, he probably doesn't care.

Even without a editing tool if he had a friend or family member go over his script to check for typos and grammar mistakes, it would help a lot.
