Mix Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 Someone thinks you did something and accuses you out in the open. You didn't do this thing, but you can't help but laugh as you try to defend yourself, thereby making you look guilty, which you recognize, but this makes you laugh even more as you continue to half ass your denial of the accusation. Which obviously doesn't help. This process escalates until you're not even defending yourself anymore, you're just laughing at what is now a furious person who is dead certain you did the thing they think you did.
RainyDayJizz#35 Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 Kinda, I tend to laugh inappropriately a lot. I have tried to explain Who's on First to a Filipino in a similar situation. Explaining the subtleties of a near miss is difficult to do with non-English speakers.
PhilosipherStoned Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 Yeah probably. I usually just smile awkwardly though because unless it's a really serious situation idgaf.

When I was in college one of my roommates had a girl over for a party I had never seen her before in my life and I got home from work to this insanely drunk girl in the kitchen vomiting everywhere, she then looked up and said "I hate you" she proceeded to continue to try and tell me why through the bathroom door while I was showering (bathroom was attached to the kitchen) I kept laughing because the last thing I wanted to deal with was some drunk person I've never met explaining why they hate me after I got done working 10 hours The kicker was they actually started dating, and when he broke up with her she turned our grill over and dumped the ashes on my car 1

You're like Jesus.
