ITLS
Do you mean yeet? It’s one of two things depending on context. 1. To move something away from you at a high speed. 2. An exclamation. It’s like when old people (us) would exclaim “Yes!”

tsar4
Yeet is an exclamation of excitement, approval, surprise, or all-around energy, often as issued when doing a dance move or throwing something. https://www.dictionary.com/e/slang/yeet/ See "Far Out" <snicker>

PhilosipherStoned
The more I think about it the more it makes sense actually.. I mean if I think about it like an onomatopoeia anyway. I still don't like it. but fine. why not. I've never actually heard anybody say or...exclaim 'yeet' irl though kids or adults. I might've heard some autistic kids, and a few toddler and under age children proudly exclaim 'yeet' but I'm not sure if those situations count... PhilosipherStoned
So is it like.. a younger kid thing? wait your kid is actually approaching middle school isn't she? I can't remember surprisingly. Well at any rate I officially feel old enough to not be allowed to say it.. ( This might be the dumbest 'viral' thing I've ever looked up the origin for. It doesn't even feel right calling it a meme. I think I get it though you got the lil meatball kid lookin cute and whatnot...and probably no context provided for the word or the dance in the 6 second video clip. 😑 No comments on the original dumb ass dance... but I can see the cuteness factor of "lil meatball" being enough to spark some virality I guess. https://www.dailydot.com/unclick/what-does-yeet-mean/

PhilosipherStoned
I can see that being a thing in elementary school, but I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to take anyone over the age of like 15 seriously if they use the word in everyday speech. Especially if it's used in an unsarcastic manner. Who am I to cramp someones style though? Yeet all over that shit if ya want I guess idk. Sounds stupid as hell though.
