What in the literal F...

My drivers test just wasn't meant to be today I guess. (Fair warning this may turn out to be more of a rant, but I don't really want to be next to all the racism and politics right now so I'm making it here.) So me and my trainer left the bus yard in my town at about 7:45 this morning.. We drove about 50 miles to the DMV that was going to be in charge of my drivers test, and signed in at about 9:20 am. My appointment..(The drivers test) was scheduled at 9:40 am.. Keep in mind my trainer, and the administration here are used to taking applicants to another DMV that's in a city just a little bit further from mine than this one, but in the opposite direction so none of them knew what to expect when it comes to the specific ways they go about dictating the test.

First off as soon as we pulled the bus into the inspection lane we were informed by an examiner that we actually needed to get back on the service road and use the interstate to rap around the facility, and park in a specific empty street about a block away from the building and come back and wait in line to be called up to fill out the paper work.. This city.. which is a pretty well established metropolitan area only has one dmv location so ofcourse it was packed full of kids trying to get their license, and everything else. When we finally got called up it was well passed the 9:40 am appointment slot so we were informed I'd have to reschedule the test at a later date.. Now the next closest appointment date is July 30. :|

One thing I have to fault myself on is I didn't read in the original confirmation email closely enough because it says to be there at least an hour early.. My trainer wasn't expecting this either though of course so we made a pointless 50 mile trip..

NOTHING IS EVER EASY when it comes to the dmv or dot regulated work or licensing though I know, but it's still bullshit.

Yeah.. Plus my trainer even told me to just focus on getting into the national guard first if I need to, and he'll work with me to brush up and make sure I don't get rusty when it comes closer to the test date. I need to do that first anyway so I can have some kind of secured income to get me through these dmv/dot hoops.

Hopefully all the stress it's put me through hasn't affected my weight loss. I know I havent had the time or energy to work out as much as I wanted to this week, but I was just 6 lbs over the weight limit last time I weighed myself.. and it's only because of my height/age that they are considering me over weight anyway.. Friggin MEPS people are worse than the DMV sometimes.

They were packed.. There was literally a line running out of the door. Which depending on the location I know that's not uncommon really at all. This could've been avoided if the administration..and I had a better idea of what to expect at the location. I mean really all I could do was show up on time at the bus yard and be ready to drive over there. At least now the trainers, and admin know what to expect. Like I said they are used to going to a different facility. I was told to schedule my test at this facility only because they had an available appointment slot that was months closer than the other facility.
