Guest The Hound Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 So I designed this corner computer desk for my friend who just moved to jersey. We're gonna build it over this weekend. All the dimensions and shit are legit. I figured instead of just using my 3d software to make games I booted up an older piece of software I don't use much anymore and made some furniture
Guest The Hound Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 good luck! Thanks. Worst case scenario I'm going to need some more vertical support for it.
MEXobiologist Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Thanks. Worst case scenario I'm going to need some more vertical support for it. eh, once you know what you are dealing with structure wise concerning the walls, you should be able to find an appropriate way to mount it.
bnmjy Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 What's the shelf space on the left going to be used for? His anime figurines?
Guest The Hound Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Cube chassis computer case. Same as mine. Its big.
Zenigundam Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 This would have been a good business venture back in the day, but nowadays furniture isn't as popular. The Shark Tank people would not endorse it.
Zenigundam Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 The band? That's... not how it's spelled...
scoobdog Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 That's cool and all, but you're going to need a finish carpenter to help engineer that.
Guest The Hound Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Nah were good my the friend im doing this for has a garage full of 50k + in tools alone. Ive already done shit like this before and we got a pretty good idea on what were grabbing at home depot to build it. Should be fine.
Misaka Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 That looks fun Kinda wish you were near me That type of work is my favorite <= carpenter by heart
scoobdog Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 I was talking about doing it as a business, not as weekend project.
Rogue_Alphonse Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 I can't design like that. Not because of software or whatever, I physically have to be standing in the room. That's how I lay out kitchens and bathrooms and basement bars
Ginguy Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 Looks nice. If you haven't already decided on a wood, I'd go with poplar. Its works easily, take stain and paint really well and is environmentally friendly. It is what I use when I build things like that.
