we are always "in the workplace" I am a salaried 24/7 employee of the company

Okay, you know what, if you actually signed a contract that restrictive, you kind of deserve it.

I wish my job didn't work me so hard. My schedule is free pretty much all week, but the 3 12's I pull usually leave me so tore up I don't even want to go anywhere when I'm off.

we have a gym where i work so it helps stave off some extra energy

Pick a weekend and let's hang out.

you'll have to wait, i'm booked for social activities until February. nothing else i can do with my time, might as well do that

I had all those perks in the military, but I really hated the paperwork, and micromanagement that wouldve been involved if I did want to work for an actual company so I understand how you feel.but I was a UAV operator when all the dumbasses and future trump supporters decided drones where the enemy, and that we were using them to spy on them while they touch thmselves at night.. so a lot of my free time started having to be spent gaurding the AV hanger. :|

What parks, mountains, and forests have you been to since living here?

You kind of need to pull a Thoreau and leave civilization for a while so that you get any sort of appreciation for life.

i appreciate what i've been able to accomplish. doing more work will allow me to accomplish more

I'm definitely looking foward to using some pto.. My job is mainly manual labor though. I honestly havent even looked at my time since I got hired in april.. I hope this place doesn't have use or lose days.. I don't think I've been working there long enough for it to matter though.

Don't hang on.

i have to certify yearly that i don't have any other means of gaining notable income except for the company I am currently at. if it's like $20 under the table helping a friend move, yeah obviously no one cares

Yikes. I'd never sign that contract.

This thread is still going on? Dude totally CAN get a 2nd job. Hes just too lazy to do what it takes for approval. *yawn* focusing on real problems now. Bye!

it's not laziness, it's the problem of going so far up the food chain that it becomes not worth it. basically i'd need my manager's manager's manager's level of HR approval. ain't happening
