On a real serious note I don't like light generators and their proponents. Here is why:

The bipolar sometimes naturally calms down in the winter and gets worse in the summer. This is a commonly reported fact. So adding more light to your system could just aggravate the bipolar. Best to let the natural process take place.

K i hear u but i am taking down the light in the spring so as not to cause mania

But going to work when its dark out and leaving during the dark gets to me really bad

I agree - one winds up feeling like a mole by New Year's.
