rode 18.6 miles yesterday just because i was bored.  theres not many places to go around here, so finding some purpose to go is really difficult, but

i guess im just going to start pedaling and see where i end up.

You won't.

I think it depends on her current exercise habits. If she already works out a lot or moderately, I see no reason to doubt her learning to ride a bike like she wants to. If she's very sedentary and exercises little to not at all, then she probably won't do it.

here listen to me real quick, ok? buy a diamondback, cannondale, or trek.

first of all your respect for the bike will put you in the mood and frame of mind to long distances without considering quitting.. **quitting, our most dreaded word

then put yourself in the knowledge of the go, only use the bike to go specific places on your NORMAL routine.  that way it becomes habit.

btw my shitpost this morning (as in the op) was incorrect, i changed my mind and had other plans and i forgot it was monday and only rode about 2 miles today

biking is easy anyone can learn.  its a lifestyle change and quickly becomes habit, a car, becomes a burden
