@Sieg67 how would you suggest someone go about reading House of Leaves? I have a copy but I haven't started it yet.

I just read it front to back(for the most part) because I'm a bit lazy.  It's also rather chaotic that way.  If you really want to get into it, you should flip back and forth between pages as they reference one another.  You can pause and research the material online and really go down a rabbit hole.  I would imagine doing it that way would take forever and would be a lot of work.

Some people only read one "Author" at a time.  Like they'd go through just the Navidson story and then go back and read Johnny's entries.

I recommend one of the first two options but it depends on what you're into.

Another Michael Crichton book, Rising Sun.
Didn't plan it this way but the used book store didn't have my 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th choice.

Also spoilers for The Lost World

Spoiler

They found it.

20000 Leagues Under the Sea

I wanted to get Around the World in 80 days but I found a collection of 4 books in one.
You guys can probably guess the next 3 books.

Ah, and spoilers in Dracula, he was stabbed to death.

I've moved onto The Mysterious Island.

You know, I had no idea what a league was and I assumed 20,000 leagues referred to the depth.  Turns out it's the distance traveled while in the sub.

The Worthing Saga by Orson Scott Card. I realize he’s a very problematic person now, but I was reading everything he wrote that I could get my hands on when I was an early teen. This one always stands out as one of my favorites, and I go back to it every few years. It’s a paperback that’s so worn the front and back cover have long torn away, and the pages look as if they’re papyrus.
