also I could suggest some youtube Makeup gurus to teach you how to makeup if you're actually interested in that :P

I'm probably going to stick to real basic stuff, but having an arsenal of knowledge about it will probably be a big help in perfecting the look

So are you heterosexual then?

In a certain way, yes, actually.

Considering that hetero means different from, and my identity is fluid, one might conclude that my relationships, being in flux in relation to my identity, makes me heterosexual. But then I wonder how heterosexual has become limited in its scope of definition in its own way. That it reflects a binary and not the multitude of genders in the world.

I will still say I'm gay tho, because it keeps things simple

Update: my mom is chill with my new name and (not so new) pronouns, but has asked me to come out to my step dad. Which is rough-ish.

Mom knows best. Usually. I think you'll be fine <3

Not all girls where makeup. But if you ever have questions I can try to help. Best of luck to you. <3

That's true.  I don't wear makeup.

Edit:  Also good luck Bouvre.

Thinking back on the slow process of self-realization, I recall the moment when I received my wait-list notification for NYU's poetry MFA program.

The e-mail began with the greeting "Dear Ms."

I'd absentmindedly checked off Ms. instead of Mr. in my application, but I really liked it a whole lot.

I think it didn't really hit me until much later because I was elated to be waitlisted by freakin' NYU,
and just losing my mind with the hope to be admitted.

Good luck and congrats for making the waitlist at NYU.

If you're into make-up, not just tutorial videos but product testing vids are helpful to see what kind of make-up you're interested in and the price ranges.

I'm not sure I understand this sentence fully, (particularly the part with the percentages and not minding a woman?)
but I also don't understand everything about me and transitioning yet, as it seems to be a constant development,
so your guess is probably as good as mine.

Ahh, the waitlist moment was years ago (they passed me up both years, and I accepted the offer for fiction at Uni of New Hampshire in the second year),
but within the following year, I was only barely beginning to use they/them pronouns, so it was sort of a tiny jumping off point.

Thank you nonetheless, and I will look into the vids!
If you have any recommended youtubers, lmk!

Still a heck of an accomplishment though.

I was very pleased and felt pretty darned validated, I'll admit,
but ultimately I'm glad I went elsewhere.

Much like a big dick in the rectum, I'm learning and have learned to embrace the struggle.

I don't have to be sure about who I am. I just gotta be!

For some weird reason I was thinking about this thread at work, and I had a question... Are you going to start going for more "feminine" hair styles? Because it would kind of let me down if you stopped having anime hair, and I don't know what female anime hair would be aside from like Sailor Moon.
