Jman Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 I started marathoning it on Netflix after being thoroughly depressed by TLJ to the point I’m probably done with all things Star Wars in the future. But once you get past a few really weak first season episodes, it’s actually pretty good. The writing is mature without ever feeling excessively melodramatic, everyone is likable, even Ashoka, who I was sure I was gonna hate, and all the cash thrown into the show results in really good looking battles. As for Resistance, that looks like crap. 1 Quote
3ngag3 Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 Rebels was pretty decent too. Particularly the final season. Quote
Daos Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 I blame myself. I was among the people who hurt George's feelings and made him sell to Disney. I thought "Hey... this is exactly what this franchise needs... .Lucas is out of talent and Disney definitely knows how to handle a massive franchise like this." If I find a way to send messages back in time I swear I will do everything I can to make this right. Quote
MasqueradeOverture Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 Oh boy...TLJ is my favorite Star Wars related thing to come out in my lifetime probably, and the best part is no two people can agree on it. I want to stick 435 SW fans in a room to (attempt to) discuss TLJ as a social experiment just to see how many people suffer injuries or quit Instagram by the end. 1 Quote

Expand Accounting for different tastes aside, it amazes me how people see the massive character inconsistencies and total destruction of everything the heroes of the original saga worked for in addition to the literal breaking of space mechanics in Star Wars as anything but negative. I mean sure, it looked great. I'll give ya that. Quote

But I'd rather not rehash that thread again. 1 Quote
Jman Posted September 26, 2018 Author Posted September 26, 2018 (edited) At least when Knights of the Old Republic II took the cliches of Star Wars to task, it was at least established that the alternative being pushed by Kreia made absolutely no sense. That being said, while Solo can rot and I won’t bother with Episode 9, Clone Wars is still a great watch. Edited September 26, 2018 by Jman Quote
Daos Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 It's not that they're bad movies, its Star Wars Fatigue man. We all love Star Wars but we can only see 3 movies every 20 years or we get fatigued. https://screenrant.com/star-wars-franchise-fatigue-break/ Quote
