Despite the lack of action, this still feels very FLCL. In that, we still have no idea what the fuck is going on with anything, and (hopefully), things start coming to a head and getting some explanation before the end, when it will take several rewatches to really catch all the hints of underlying plot, while still leaving a million questions unanswered.

All the pins dotting the landscape are certainly ominous.
