nameraka Posted July 20, 2018 Share Posted July 20, 2018 my wife bought this hard cherry cola stuff that neither one of us is going to drink, so i was thinking of using it to make a roast. maybe with french onion soup mix and some cream of mushroom. Rub that all over the roast then stick it in a pan really quick to seal in the flavor. Then toss it in the crockpot with your other stuff. discolé monade Posted July 21, 2018 Share Posted July 21, 2018 i usually sear the meat before doing any roasting/crock pot thing after sauteeing onions and garlic in butter and olive oil. i use allspice on the meat (along with salt, pepper, ground mustard) so, yeah. i would try this in lieu of adding water. seal it up real tight for a couple hours. the gravy from this would interesting. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
