I looked out her bedroom window at the night sky. The stars had mesmerized me to the point that I couldn't listen to a word she was saying. The window was open, I was ready to leave, my hair was rustling in the wind. That's when she said it. "But what if I get pregnant?" I slowly turned my head back in her direction and flipped my shades down over my eyes, "If that happens... our kid will be magnificent and badass". And that was it.
