death_by_motorboat Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 has been completely dissolved into meaning the same thing as "laptop?" the only safe guess is "notebooks" must be smaller and weigh less. but people use the words interchangeably irl.....
André Toulon Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 (edited) That's not true....My kids have notebooks and "notebooks".....They never manage to confuse which they are talking about because context is an actual thing Edited April 30, 2018 by Derrick Foreal

I thought it was those tablets some schools have now.
AstroCreep Posted May 1, 2018 Posted May 1, 2018 I like notebook better than laptop. Seems more logical, and precise. It always looks like a notebook, and I usually use it on a desk or on a bed or whatever. Same with tablet, as opposed to pad. Tablet seems more precise.

"pad" is a feminine hygiene product. ipad makes me think of the south park episode. tablet is a good word, I like tablet
Doom Metal Alchemist Posted May 1, 2018 Posted May 1, 2018 People call laptops notebooks, but no one calls paper notebooks laptops. 😂
