personally? no. but my wife was a licensed agent and wrote commercial and auto for a few years. and one of my good friends runs an independent agency. if you think you'll actually get to write any of those large accounts fresh out of cert school, you're 100% not learned in how the industry works. again, please pretend that you're giving it a shot.

lol...thousandaires. is that even a thing people brag on? like, in actual real life?

also, knowing millionaires =/= being able to write policies for them. you don't just pick up multi-million dollar policies. you honestly think someone's gonna put their fortune or livelihood in your hands, just because you might know them or you gave them a toothy bj for free at that house party a decade ago? when they already have half a dozen agents with proven skill and impressive books of business, regularly knocking on their doors? nah, they'll surely just give you, a green agent with no book and no clients, and a horrible track record of stability in any line of work, their full trust and business.

you can give up the ruse now. you're not going into the insurance business. this is just another troll thread. yuk yuk, good show.

Yeah you know most people that work those types of jobs don't end up seeing very much money. I actually interviewed at one back in November. They basically just want you to spend all day calling every family member, friend, acquaintance, classmate, colleague...Basically anyone you may have talked to even once in the past 10 years. And just bug them into buying from you. And as wacky said, it's not just a matter of you saying, "Plz trust me with ur money". It's an art-form that takes practice and a very specific skill set. Most of the reviews I saw for the place said you'd be expected to work 6 days a week, put in 60+ hours a week, and would maybe see $400 a week if you were lucky.

I looked into several places that did a similar thing and they all had the same kind of reviews.

I'm sure the rich uncle who didn't trust you enough to hire you as more than a receptionist will gladly sign on to a multi-million dollar policy written by you. As we all know, insurance is easy. You just write a policy, sign them up, then never look at the policy again 'cause it'll take care of itself.

It was blatant sarcasm. You were treating it like you're just going to write a policy, then get rich - like easy-peasy.
