Jman
Part of their continued effort to take over the world (of anime). https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2018-01-31/netflix-to-co-produce-anime-with-production-i.g-bones-wit-studio/.127164

mochi
at least they won't produce any god awful CGI anime in house anymore since they'll have an ACTUAL animation studio working for them now
PokeNirvash
You seriously think Polygon Pictures' anime is produced by Netflix in-house? Talk about denser than osmium.
J.M. Matthews
Production IG is my favorite anime studio, other than Gonzo, Madhouse, and Satelight. They aren't exactly easy to find work with. So congratulations Netflix! Edited January 31, 2018 by J.M. Matthews

Sheesh! Knights of Sidonia was so stupid. You'd think Netflix could do the simple math of figuring out Japan needs to do traditional cell animation. Why not just have them do what they're best at? 2-D cellophane anime! Toonami gets it (FLCL), Crunchyroll gets it (Canon Busters) Netflix is STARTING to get it. (Production IG) Asking Japan to "Do Pixar" is like asking Pixar to "Do Production IG" It will result in CRAP, they're out of their element. You've got to do what you know how to do professionally. You gotta do what you're good at. Your expertise and comfort zone. Why disrupt that?? Edited January 31, 2018 by J.M. Matthews
The1gairon
Hear that? Better watch and rewatch FLCL 2 and 3 when it arrives, because YOU WILL NEVER see a partnership between Adult Swim and IG ever again!

Talk about denser than osmium. Indeed, Polygon Pictures is in Japan. The only way they're related to Netflix is because they have a multi-show deal with them. It is in no way made "in house at Netflix"!
