I joined the ASMB in February 2004). I don't think people hate as much as you may think. But it's probably due to it being an anime that doesn't stand the test of time. In comparison to animes of its genre since it came out, the luster wore off. Kinda like dial-up internet, except Outlaw Star isn't nowhere near that bad. It would likely be the show that's aired after Outlaw Star. Airing both Outlaw Star and Angel Links simultaneously would have been weird.
