my opinion is i liked pixels...the rest of his movies can suck my titties

Eh.

No interest in seeing it.

He looks physically miserable and honestly won't be surprised if he kills himself within the next few years.

The Wedding Singer.

Little Nicky was a desperate attempt to pull himself back. But even if it had not been a sad, half-assed attempt, he was too far gone for it to make any difference.

It's probably just nostalgia but I have a soft spot for Little Nicky.

But I guess someone a little older could easily view it as cloying and cynical.

Well.

Only 3 people voted but the majority winner is The Waterboy.

I had a feeling that would be the outcome.

Not even a troll answer for Mr. Deeds. Or Rain On Me as a lazy joke.

Follow-up question.

Was Punch Drunk Love or whatever. His first 'serious' one I think. Was that one a good movie or a stinker?

I can't say because I have never finished it.

Punch-Drunk Love is the only movie he wasn't on autopilot

It's good, albeit mostly for a pretty niche crowd who like weird, uncomfortable stuff.

Yeah.

I mean, he was actually trying.

But it was just... Idk, sad.

And it just kinda seems like since then, that movie broke him or something.

Yeah, that's what makes it stand out from his other stuff but being sad is what likely turns people off from it.

It does end on a pretty positive note, though. Not sure it makes up for how bleak most of it is for a general audience.
