I got em because they were on the cheap side, but compared to the past few pairs I have spent almost double on... these are so much better. Awesome padding inside, and I didn't know they were suede!

Also they came equipped with black laces and grey ones in the box... black was too dull.

Now I'm gonna buy a couple more similar pairs in different color schemes :|

The last pair I bought were Sketcher slip resistant work shoes.  Discounted at the Sketcher Outlet store for casino employees.

As long as they meet the company dress code and last longer than a few months, it's good.  The bosses would send me home if I showed up in shoes like yours.

For work shoes, Shoes for Crews are where it's at.

I had them last over a year... which is a record for me

That's about right for a pair of kicks.  Of course, it's also about how you use them.  I have a fifteen year old pair of Bostonians that I only wear to dress events such as weddings and funerals.  They still look new.

Psh......I have like 30 pairs of shoes.  I had 44 last time I counted, but I sent a bunch to Houston.

My grandma was a shoe freak. I think that turned me off them...trying on 10 pairs for church every Sunday...
