JeNewBee Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Double... penetration? Not going to lie exactly where my mind went also
Swimmod_Luna Posted August 20, 2017 Author Posted August 20, 2017 Double... penetration? Double shift. 16 hours. And I already at 80 for the pay period so it's straight ot.
Naraku4656 Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 you've got to be pulling close to what someone with a 50k salary would be making
molarbear Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Do you ever get disheartened when you hit the 8 hour mark and realize instead of going home you have to work 8 more hours?
Swimmod_Luna Posted August 20, 2017 Author Posted August 20, 2017 you've got to be pulling close to what someone with a 50k salary would be making I wish After taxes I usually end up with about 1,200 each check. Biggest check I ever got was around 1400. Keep in mind I'm technically "part time" in that I'm only scheduled like 35 hours a week so I need to get some extra hours just to start getting ot.
Swimmod_Luna Posted August 20, 2017 Author Posted August 20, 2017 Do you ever get disheartened when you hit the 8 hour mark and realize instead of going home you have to work 8 more hours? I little bit. Depends on if I volunteered or if they forced me

Swimmod_Luna Posted August 20, 2017 Author Posted August 20, 2017 1200 after tax is close to what i was pulling every two weeks when i was making 50k. 50k is about $24 an hour That math doesn't add up. 1200*26=31,200. Where are you getting 50k.
Naraku4656 Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 That math doesn't add up. 1200*26=31,200. Where are you getting 50k. you said you make close to 24 an hour with overtime right? this is a before tax artcile https://www.convertunits.com/salary/50000
Swimmod_Luna Posted August 20, 2017 Author Posted August 20, 2017 you said you make close to 24 an hour with overtime right? this is a before tax artcile https://www.convertunits.com/salary/50000 15.99 is my base pay. 25 is what I get for overtime.
Naraku4656 Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 oh then i misunderstood. i thought your base pay was 24 with overtime
Swimmod_Luna Posted August 20, 2017 Author Posted August 20, 2017 what's your YTD after tax? $12033.51 I started in March and my first pay check was just time in orientation, no ot, not even 40 hours a week due that. Also they take out about 25 for my deferred compensation and 50 for health insurance.
Naraku4656 Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 so if you add two months it'd probably be closer to 15ish. that's pretty good
PenguinBoss Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Double shift. 16 hours. And I already at 80 for the pay period so it's straight ot. Shouldn't you be getting double time by now?
