i finally understand the year 2000 problem

it cleared up for me today at work when i was searching for a date value on a lab system with random bogus dummy data a program threw in there that only stored the last 2 digits of a year and had to figure out if the dummy birthday years in the test data were 2014 or 1914. then i said to myself "oh, that's why that was such a big deal"

Meh.. I think to most people it really wasn't. I mean the year 2000 WAS a leap year, and many programers were

unaware of this when they made the electronic devices.. and ofcourse people had to go off on a tangent and

assume it was going to mean the end of the world instead of a bunch of erroneous dates on street signs and

primitive software.  I mean I was like 7 or whatever back then so I wasn't thinking anything but "you know what..

Insync, The backstreet boys, the spice girls.. They all suck majorly what's all this fuss and debate about."  :|
